  • Local Histogram Equalization (LHE) is a powerful tool that can emphasize large and small structures in your images. In this video, I'll show you my approach to using LHE on both a nebula and galaxy image.

    Very nice! I’m going to try this on my Jellyfish Nebula image that I just processed.

      The Jellyfish Nebula is a great object for LHE - lots of intricate details. Hope you get some nice results.

      @@ancientphotonsastrophotogr6999 I just did and, wow, LHE made a significant improvement. Thank you! I also used your method to remove noise around stars using TGVDenoise. That worked well too!

      Absolutely - I'll probably put out a few methods, as I find different approaches are needed for different images/stages.
