I Thought Frog Fractions Was A Kids Game. I Was Wrong.

- Frog Fractions Full Game - an extremely educational game, what could possibly go wrong? This was the first game I played in my 10 hour mega stream where every game was a different genre. What an incredible start to the stream.

This game was insane I looked away from the stream for 2 minutes and it went from diving underwater to a text RPG about a spaceship and goop???
I was surprised how much the game change, and it’s only been 5 minutes
Same
legit i would look away for like 2 minutes to make a sandwich come back only to see madness
I walked away to get some water in the white dragon spaceship finding part and came back to text rpg
What's Goop?
As conceived in 1632 by Portuguese printing press operator Andre Filipe, boxing was a gentlemen’s game in which two men would square off and regale each other with stories monotonous for days on end until one of them fell to the ground from boredom or exhaustion. Over the next few years, the new sport developed a respectable following of a few hundred local socialites.
It was Filipe’s son, Andre Filipe Filipe, who developed what he called “the punching strategy” in 1637 after seeing a schoolboy strike another in anger, causing him to fall down.
When Andre Filipe Filipe challenged the then-champion, British ex-patriate “Sleepless” Bill Bishop to a match, Bishop was the odds-on favorite. You can imagine his surprise when while he was describing what he had had for breakfast that morning, Andre walked up and thumped him in the neck, sending him down “for the count” in the parlance of our time.
While it was universally agreed that the boy had violated the spirit of the game, officials were unable to find any actual rule that punching violated, and were forced to let the victory stand.
This upset caused an uproar in the boxing community large enough to spill over into local newspapers, and stirred the interest of many outsiders to come see what the fuss was about. The newcomers were enthralled to engage in these borderline barbaric displays of human strength and skill, and the rest is history - after a few spoilsport school moms single-minded about safety added the padded gloves, of course.
Today’s boxing enthusiasts fantasize about the newcomer that would rock the ring the way Filipe did.
Classification of the modern ruleset has essentially locked the punching strategy into place; but it’s easy to get caught up in the fantasy. Young scholars with big dreams often enter the ring with their crazy new trick, usually a variant of hypnosis. And though they’ve achieved the occasional victory, none of the gimmicks have been robust enough to make it to the big-time.
The real wonder, though, is that Andre Filipe’s original vision of boxing is still around. Gentlemen’s boxing clubs can be found in cities all over the world; you can visit one most any day of the week and see two erudite gentlemen exchanging pleasantries in the ring.
Most people only come to watch a few hours of a match, and then leave. But every once in a while you’ll find amongst your elders a stout fellow, a die-hard fan, who perhaps witnessed that historic battle between Filipe and Bishop, who for love of the sport must stay to witness the last glorious seconds of wakefulness slip away, only to return to fight again another day.
wait, the only person who could have witnessed the historic battle between Filipe and Bishop would have to be at least 300 years old. Even if the recording we're listening to about boxing was recorded to be played on a gramophone or something, that person would still need to be over 200 years old, at least a few years beyond the even the longer life expectancy of people in the 1860s.
Its a blight on the noble sport of Boxing that this kind of inconsistent history is being taught. I was just at a boxing club the other day, and the kids these days don't even know the noble history of the sport, and this Frog Fractions game is spewing this misleading stuff...
For shame, I tell you, for shame.
@@syeblaize
When they say "die hard fan", they probably mean someone who died watching a match and hasn't left their seat since.
@@syeblaize I mean, I was there back in 1632, when Andre Filipe came up with Boxing. I mean I didn't understand it at all, after all I never learned Portuguese, but I was traveling around back then, and since I only stayed in a town for at most a month, and when all you can use to communicate is broken Latin, well, it isn't that easy, but thankfully everyone understands gold... reminds me of all the Electrum I used to have back in the day, I was a wealthy man back then. But when Electrum went out of favor, for Silver Dinars, and sure I understand it, less gold used means cheaper to produce, en masse. I once owned a copy of the Bible written by Wulfila himself, and I did meet Attila once, but he had a weird name so Attila was a lot easier to remember, oh and yes, I did in the 1700s settle down near the Alps, in a little cottage, there, with some chickens and sheep, had a lot of food, only stayed there for 5-6 years, before crossing the Alps into Bavaria, where I built a small cottage, and raised sheep and chicken again, sold them to local villages once every decade or so, I then moved to Denmark, this should be around 1780, where I then by boat crossed over to Sweden, and I've been living there since, in a few decades or so, I'm thinking of moving Eastwards, into Russia, after all, Siberia looks perfect, for a loner like me, there I could raise sheep and chicken again, and just outlive everyone else again, perhaps staying there 1-2 centuries, have had some plans for making heating out there cheap enough, it would probably take a decade or two to realize it but, yeah, I'm thinking of building a staircase there down into the underground, a few hundred meters deep, food storage, closer to the surface, and general living area about 200 meters down, getting a pretty moisture free living environment.
Oh but I won't go on anymore, I seem more narcissistic than Narcissus by now, just speaking about myself, at least I'm not crazy like Caligula. Now excuse me, I have some blood to drink, and some roasted garlic chicken to eat.
?
Bruh.
And because of this, chat proceeded to ask for "bug porn" for the entire rest of the 10 hour stream.
I love how the mods didn’t even understand why they were asking for it, as if they were not there for frog fractions
@@lifinale Self censorship moment😭😭
"Relax just bee yourself"
Yeah that is true
And after Papers Please everyone was telling Tyler to turn on Nudity for every game
How did the game evolve from eating bugs to being put on trial? This game feels like a fever dream.
If I remember correctly, the announcement toward frog fraction 2 is wild.
The developer decided to do an ARG to announce the game, and it lasted from march 2014 to December 2016. Over 2 years of people nonstop searching and solving clues. Game detective has documented it in wiki and it's choke full of info.
You should check Frog Fractions 3 (glittermitten grove) and Frog Fraction Hat DLC
"These are some easy words, show me something like prestidigitation then we'll talk"
Me out here hearing the word prestidigitation outside of dnd for the first time in my life
ayee dnd gang
AYY DND GANG POG
I would be surprised if that's not where tyler got it from
Honestly this goes to show that Tyler can play anything and we'll watch.
no, this game is just that interesting, all it needs is a shitty, maybe mediocre .exe fangame and deep lore and it can become a popular game
@@SilverFoxeGames I mean it had a sequel
@@SilverFoxeGames Look at the sequel
Well not only did everyone vote Mario Cart and Quiplash off there wasn't much chatting going on during the Darkwood segment so I dunno if you could call it that
If that were true, then why am I not watching his other videos?
If you enjoyed this, I highly recommend you look into playing frog fractions 3 (AKA glittermitten grove). It has some the same sense of humor, genre shifting/bending, as well as a good deal of puzzles throughout. I think it could be a good series on the channel, as it's significantly longer than the original.
Is there a frog fractions 2? I’ve known about frog fractions and the dlc for a while but I haven’t seen any sequels.
@@WoeUponThee ok, so frog Fractions 3 IS frog Fractions 2. They named it 3 as a joke, I would consider the doc as the 3rd frog Fractions game
@@divineholinessjr There's also Frog Fractions 4 (The hat DLC)
@@WoeUponThee the tl;dr is that when frog fractioms 2 was first announced there was a giant hunt for it, as it was hidden in another game, and later the devs came out and said something the lines of "frog fractions 2 was the hunt for the game, and the game is frog fractions 3." and so frog fractions 3 is inside of a different game called glittermitten grove, while 2 was basically an ARG and can't be played anymore. It's confusing but kinda funny.
I was there, it was an insane stream, a shame to everyone that missed it live, the VOD should still be up for a few weeks though, so go watch it, it was an amazing stream
He posted it on his vod channel
@@pablolacerda1331 not the one that is in the description as far as I can see
It seems to be available on twitch for now though
Agreed. I hope he does another variety shit show or just another stream soon, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
It really was but I was only there until the end of superhot
4:20 i didn't have twitch chat when i played, so i spent like 30 minutes upgrading and removing lock-on targeting. it looped all the way around the screen and i didn't even get an achievement :(
Who knew a “kids frog fraction game” was much more complicated than that
Great subversion of the genre, props to the devs!
Went from fractions to bug prn
@@gusfringfromfortniteuwu1648 i feel bad for any parents who got their kids to play this game and now have to explain what bug pron is
@@preistestdragon4634 the kid wouldnt know how to even get npast the first part
Tyler's ability to miss falling apples is unparalleled.
Bro it was crazy how you streamed Frog Fractions for 10 hours straight. I testament to this games logetivity
Also known as 20/200 hours
@@pedroff_1 200/20. Other way around.
@@ChicaneryBear Damb, I must need a refresher. Time to play the game again!
I lost my fucking mind the first time I saw a play through of this game. It’s so crazy and I couldn’t be happier that Tyler is playing it
I'd love to see him play it again with the incredible hat DLC, wearing a hat truly improves the experience.
There is a sequel of the game that is a lot crazier, and longer than the original. But the name escapes me for a moment.
Edit: Found it, it's called Glittermitten Grove.
Oh! If you’re a fan of this, I might check out Glittermitten Grove.
…what do you mean it doesn’t look anything like this? Of course it doesn’t. Trust me.
(Hilariously, Frog Fractions 2 was us trying to *find* the game, having no idea what the hell game it was hiding inside like a friendly intestinal parasite…making Glittermitten technically Frog Fractions *3*.)
Only eight minutes in and frog is singing a work visa on bug-mars after going to court. I'm scared and excited for what comes next.
I understand that most of the text adventure had to be cut for time and to keep it interesting, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching that portion live. GOOP!
Oh boy, Frog Fractions is a hell of a way to start a 10 hour stream. (Honestly I'm surprised so many people haven't seen Frog Fractions yet?)
Probably has to do with the fact that you can't really talk about it without spoiling a lot of stuff lol
@@SnoFitzroy Same is true of Doki Doki Literature Club and that didn't stop that game from spreading like fire through tumbleweeds.
@@walugusgrudenburg3068 I think the issue is that the game was popular literally a decade ago now. It was probably just as popular as ddlc, just 9-10 years ago now
as I said in the stream, this has more layers then the Stanley parable
I think you're the creator who has convinced me to buy the most games. Baba, snakebird, bridge game, parabox, long cactus, alien trains, even btd6. Thank you for introducing me to this niche and for being a quality dude
Respect for Aliensrock for calling the rhythm game part DDR and not FNF 🙏
Outside the internet fash circlejerk, FNF is seen for what it is. A crappy flash game made by pedos and played by nazis.
And then the whole chat thought the rest of the stream were all frog fractions DLCs. Totally logical!
I have a fever right now.
Is this what they call fever dream?
I did not understand any aspect of the game.
But it was still a blast to watch
Yes
This is amazing! I didn’t know I needed this but I’m glad ai kept watching.
I'm so so glad you played this. I was late to the variety stream and missed it, but now I'm going to make sure I catch every second from now on.
OOH! I saw this on the stream! Was a wonderful time.
I... I... I don't know what to think of this game. It's just a conglomeration of throw it at the wall and see what sticks but everything sticks.
"I guess we'll let your successor worry about the inflation problem."
That hits differently today than it did in 2012. Oof.
we all thank you for completely skipping over the text adventure section of the game. that part was a nightmare live
Bro the stream was insane frog fractions is literally the best game ever 🔥
You fool, you've been playing Frog Fractions this whole time! - Joseph Joestar
This was such a great stream! Super happy I was able to stay the whole time!
Some may be confused by your decision, but I wholeheartedly support your shift in content to full-time frog-fractions! Bravo Tyler!
Man I remember this game. Nostalgia trip for me.
You know, I learned a lot. I’m not sure what I learned (probably fractions), but it was a lot.
Am I insane or does this game have a point & click escape room section if you choose the right options at the rocket ship?
It does, yeah
It does. But also you are insane
That was an experience jeez
I was kinda hoping the entire vid would be uploaded, but this is a fine substitute
So good to see in a video since I missed most of it.
I cant believe this game had so many crossovers
Thanks to this wonderful program, I was able to pass my fractions exam in 1.5th grade! Thanks Tyler!
When you have a fractions exam before Christmas in first grade
Well this was an unexpected throwback
"what other place can you learn typing, fractions and dodge bullet?" in American schools
Dang, midnight? What time zone/frame does this guy release videos or does he have a editor who lives across the world?
Either way, i dont know what this guy shows up in my feed but i cant help but become intrigued by the games he/you play. Keep it up
He prepares videos beforehand and schedules them to become public at midnight his time. Dont remember if he uses editors sometimes or if he does everything himself.
I showed up to the stream around 5 or so min into this and boy was I in for a ride
This was more crazy than I ever expected
Disclaimer: do NOT watch this when high.
Day 706 of telling Tyler that he never finished his minecraft series and that he should finish it.
Aw hell yeah, its frog fractions. He played this game for 10 hours on the variety shitshow stream
still going..
Day 394
The only game i watched too
Day 666 of agreeing
Of all of the days I could miss, I guess this one makes some kind of sense
Should have been called Fever Dream Fractions
OH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW this is an oldie but a goodie of a game
I'm so glad youtube started recommending your videos again. Even tho I'm subbed they stopped a while ago
Man it was such a wild stream lmao
I love your content! I think Realm Grinder would be an interesting game to see you play
This is the greatest game I’ve ever witnessed
I’m like 60% sure I saw the end of frog fractions during the stream, but honestly no idea
I watched this live lol love the vids man :)
3:11
You know what they say, adults are everywhere but there's youth in Asia!
I remember this game haha, glad u played it
I recall playing this game in original flash game fashion. I never stuck around long enough to get to the crazy parts though.
I mean, it's not that it's not a kids game, it's just a good game that uses shitty kids edutainment as an aesthetic
Ooooh, this is why when I hopped in the stream everyone was demanding Bug Porn in chat…
This is me whenever I do something I think man I really liked that and I just get it again
whoa what the hell i just played this game after hearing it mentioned in the same conversation as daniel mullins last week and here you are playing it too lol
Didn’t know I needed this video in my life
Awesome
and this my friends was the start of the frog fractions dlc joke
I knew going in that this game was gonna be an absolute rollercoaster of genres but I was still confused the whole time
youtube thinks it can stop me from saying this is the only bug p i need but of course everyone knows what bug p is
17:53 I love the waving Zimbabwe flag on screen as he prints all the money lol.
Saw this game years ago on CarlSagan42s channel, ever since then I've loved it and always enjoyed watching my fav youtubers play it without knowing what is going on hahaha
Tyler, I've watched many playthroughs of frog fractions, and I swear every single time I watch some play its different
I have no idea why I've only heard of this game now, 10 years after it was released.
Holy crap I remember watching the Yogscast play this like a decade ago
Experiencing this game with a live guide is the only way to make it through
Dear god, I remember Carl Sagan playing this years ago, good memories
This is one of the games of all time
frog fractions is truly one of the best games ever made
OMG You played frog fractions!
I played this game years ago and its one of my favourite games
It is art.
Sleeping can wait
3:24 can’t believe Tyler is insinuating that sushi isn’t a happy word
I have a cool game suggestion. Sweet dreams Alex, cool and friendly puzzle game
Can't believe this was the one game I missed in the shitshow, I really missed out
Frog Fractions: Tyler you were wrong
sequel when? frog fractions 2 unironically has some great puzzles
This is one of my favorite games of all time, I bought the dlc and it’s just as good as the main game btw (plus it supports the devs)
I was lucky enough to see this game live 😎
Oh no, Frog fractions!
That was an acid trip
Tyler finally plays this legendary game
Frog Aneurysm 2: electric boogaloo
YAY another Dvorak typer! :D
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FLASH GAMES FUCK YEAH
played this when i was like 9 and genuinely believed the boxing story
Now, time for Glittermitten Grove!
I love your vids and I hope you have a good day or night
Frog Frog Revolution
of fucking course tyler uses dvorak
