So many layers to savor, it's like having a 7-layer cake - the writing, the acting, the costume/make-up, the accents, the expressions, the localisms and of course, the deep philosophical observations in each line that lasts the longest.
You're a national treasure, no less!!!

And she did followups after that by giving me regular spankings (codeword masala dosas) at regular intervals on my bums without warnings to make sure that i NEVER repeat the misbehaviour. And top of that, she used to hide all the pain relief balms and sprays on the day of my treatment so that i don't escape the pain after her spanking and that ensured that my bottoms stung like hell for three days and developed my character and behaviour like magic😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫

both mothers are right from their perspectives and the time when they were raising their kids. health of mothers of our previous generation always gets ignored. no one asked them how they were. even if they were sick, they still have to do household chores without rest. and that's why she advised to others mothers (including the ones in present generation) to take care of their health as no one else is going to do for them.
similarly, the mothers of this generation are often shamed for the way they raise children, manage house, etc., regardless of working and non-working. hence, she advised all the mothers (including the ones from previous generation) that you are doing your best and that is the best. regardless of generations, lifestyle, region, language, etc. mothers will always be mothers who love their children (exceptions are always there).
the way our grandparents raised our parents is different from how our parents raised us. so naturally the way mothers of this generation is raising their children will be different than their predecessors. instead of criticizing or comparing mothers, we must appreciate them. there is no fixed rule for parenting. every children is different so mothers need to take different approach to raise them. at the end, mothers are human who learn from their mistakes. we all can be a little more empathic to every mother and applaud them for their hardwork.

Your acting, accent delivery skills, and the way you have observed and imbibed the nuances of each community is genius. Your delivery is making the script shine.

Awesome and realistic. Each and everything. I think we are a generation where our parents told us what to do and now our kids who are not even teenagers tell us what to do

I used to decide whether my dad should dye his hair. And my elder sis would decide what saree mom should wear basis the occassion. I must say I never received a physical beating from my dad but a few from my mom. My sister received nil bataa sannaataa from either parent but verbal beatings were very popular in our household. What screen time, what quality time, those concepts werent even there. All time spent together was quality time and we had a lot of that. And my sister and I had our own tacit agreement on stealing extra screen time, if that applied at all in a household with only 1 TV. I think I have received more beatings from my sister than from my mother. Sis was quick with her hands. Now both her kids are mischievious to the power infinity and no amount of beating is going to fix that. Sweet revenge🤣🤣

My dad said having too many clothes make su get confused . You guys should have just three sets like me then no wasting time in deciding what to wear ! It’s all parenting like being in India like old times , regardless of where this modern generation lives , then kids will be straightened. If not , little spanking and no Instant gratification habit - most important aspect parents have to learn no matter how wealthy one is .

That scene and dialogue reminded me when i was a naughty teen and my aunty spanked me so well that i kept rubbing my kundi for atleast one hour.

How do you spend quality time with your children..?
Quality timeaa...? By checking quality of their hair, nail, handwriting, general knowledge ... 🤭😂👌
    ROFL...! How true but.
AiyoShradhdha... How do you even get to go back in time so precisely ...! I grew up in the same regime, when my Mom spent her quality time with me in much the same way. And I grew up in Tamilnadu. So all that you meme were a national phenomenon. Every single one that grew up in that regime would vouch, they did not lose the fun of growing up.
Children of this age and time are only losing big time.
Btw, that's not the point. But you recalling every bit of it, as if its yesterday.
    Good on you. 👌👏
