@AnimeDude892 Ah, the thousand dollar type? Unfortunately on my salary and expenses, I can't afford one of those.
Love everything about this new version. I know most people will be upset about all the screens for paintings (which normally I’d be upset too) but I think it looks really good and really works for Phantom manor! All the refurbishments really do make the ride as a whole a lot scarier and cooler for me- the new changing portraits, Melanie on the stairs, the phantom popping up behind Melanie, the newly painted western ghosts.. and the ending! I know some people are upset by the changed storyline, but I think the spooky Melanie in the mirror is actually like, legit frightening and it makes it all up for me. Plus those Phantom animatronics look hella good too- DUDE I love this new Phantom Manor! Great vid!
the music box theme was such a mood
I don’t know if I love the new version of the boudoir soundtrack (mainly because of the music box being changed) but I think the refurb gave phantom manor some much needed attention

No, this is a massive improvement to a HAUNT tale...poor Melanie went nuts and just HAS to get out...or was she playin' us all along? Either way, it gives your girl a whole new dimension/level to her character, I LOVE it...MUCH better than previously, where the Phantom inexplicably appeared in THREE Doom Buggies at a time...

Best ridethrough video of the new version so far. I love (almost) all the new updates. I just wish they hadn't changed the story so much.
They've put the Ballroom Music by Debney back today. But there's no official footage on RUclips of that yet. I saw a few Instagram stories proving it though.
BlueRaccoon27 I heard! Hopefully this means they’re actually listening to what people are saying about the ride! I wouldn’t hold my breath for them changing the story back just yet but at least it’s a start!
@@KassMcCormack Leota's seance music is back too. Maybe during the soft opening they were having trouble with the remastered versions and needed of a little work done.
BlueRaccoon27 Maybe. But I would’ve rather had them delay a couple more days to make sure it was right instead of messing with the soundtrack.
@@KassMcCormack At least it was temporary. The same thing happened with Indiana Jones adventure in 2013. They redid Mara's voice and people complained, but it turns out they were remastering James Earl Jones's voice so they had the new not so good voice for at least a week or so.

I’m watching this to compare it to CA Haunted Mansion and I must say...... I like this version!
Fantastic video, LMG! I think this version of the attraction is so amazing! I love that the graveyard scene fits with the actual land the attraction is set in and wish the US parks would follow Paris with that concept. I would be amazed seeing California with a New Orleans style graveyard with witch doctors, Mandi gras performers etc. and Florida with a US colonial type graveyard with politicians, protestors etc.

I enjoy the two Haunted Mansions in the USA Disney Parks so much. I never seen the one in Disneyland Paris, or even been to France. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Overall the change... doesn’t sit well with me. The only thing I like are the updated animatronics and the lighting. Why’d they have to make Melanie crazy at the end? I liked her better as the helpless protagonist who just wants to make sure you don’t hurt like she did.
Why do they still have Mélanie with a covering her face in the ballroom and boudoir? She’s brand new. She doesn’t need to have her face covered.
I think it’s to show how Melanie got taken by the mysterious phantom.

Bernadette Senica uh, the phantom is no longer mysterious. Henry Ravenswood is the phantom. He believed no man was ever good enough for his daughter and killed all her suitors and imprisoned her in the house.
This is actually really cool. I think if I wanted to go to an out-of-state Disney park, Disneyland Paris would be my second choice and Phantom Manor would be the first thing I go on.
Also, it's soon going to be original Haunted Mansion's 50th anniversary, I wonder if it's going to get a renovation. I can totally see them placing the original stretching portraits of this ride with the other portraits and maybe some other references to Phantom Manor.

Henry didn’t want her to marry because, apparently, he had grown up where he would have to pay the husband or the husband’s family a chunk of money called a Dowery.
However, when the dowery was originally made it was the husband’s family that paid for the bride. Paying the father for his loss of work and the brides’s potential reproduction abilities. Basically buying a pretty face that he can and better continue his bloodline with. If she couldn’t breed she was worthless.
The dowery ended sometime in the 1800’s. God bless the young rebel men that bashed that idea into the ground. Took time, but they did it.
