I too at first hated him, but I wonder if I had gone as much as him, and seeing it with my own eyes my own arrheat brother who claims he would control everything turned out lost control and bring death to the rest of my family for the sake of people he had chose instead of me, wouldn't I lose my mind? In JC's mind when WWX played the hero to protect LWJ who had MianMian on her back, that's what he consider the cause of Lotus Pier burn. Because WWX chose other people rather that stay low for his Sect. We know WWX and Wen Ning being set up by Jin Clan, but JC didn't know, and he still holding the hatred for another 13 years later. Even after truth come to light, he needs time to heal.
what is he to blame for? he was reckless but he didn't know any better, and his suspicion wasn't baseless we all know Wwx is innocent but it did look like he was guilty from an outside perspective

She, as clan leader, left. They were out numbered and would have been turned away by their own clan. So supporting him at the time wouldn't have helped them back then. This was why Wei ying left his clan for the Wen. He knew this. But supporting him when he got back was important. And this was where Jiang Cheng failed. And Lan Zhan showed that he learned from the past.
@@usonohoshi6165 it's important to note that the girl's situation and theirs were entirely different. she was a nobody cultivator and an unmarried woman. ofc her words were thrown aside. jc however was the leader of the jiang clan and though their standing was rocky, it was still prominent enough that it would have given the jins pause. moral uprighteousness is a huge reason for why wy was outcasted and you cannot go against the newly weakened jiangs- a former major clan- without looking the bully. jgs would've had to move more carefully. similarly, lz was the second heir. yes he may have been ousted more easily then jc, but it would have come at a greater cost. there is also his noble reputation which could have given credence to wy's words. the problem is that only wy had the conviction to stick to what he knew was right and both jc and lz were too ignorant of the politics to play their hand correctly. it does not change the fact that had they thrown in their lot with him, wy might have survived purely because he had the protection of 1-2 distinguished clans/cultivators. instead he was alone with a minority, so he perished.
