uhmmm there is an inactive volcano but not around the city. It's in one of the municipalities of the province where the the city resides. It was turned into hotspring and resort though hehehehehehe
So glad to see you in Baguio; my Filipina wife and I are still trying to decide between Baguio and Tagaytay for retirement but we have time to look at both areas
Same here.. My girl mentions Tagatay I might like. Her family are just down from Baguio in La Union in San Juan however.. So Baguio would keep us nearer.. Just 90 minutes or so from the beaches and resorts near her home.
the great advantage of being in tagaytay city is, it's very close to ncr since it's part of cavite province unlike baguio city .... but my advice to you as a noypi, just follow where your heart is man .......
How do you guys like Baguio City? My husband and I are going to attend (spobsor) a wedding there this coming October. After that, we are going to Palawan for a week and then back to Manila. I hope you enjoying your northern tour. Please do not miss the Banawe rice terraces and the Ilocos region. Happy travelling.
That Wright Park needs to be cleared of weeds and planted with beautiful flowers,. I lived in Baguio city for 7 years when it was not that crowded. I am so happy to know they sell wine there too, that is new.
True...the Wright Park must be maintained, its flowering plants must be kept as many plants/trees (like pine trees) truly thrive well due to its cool climate. Since Baguio city is a popular tourist destination, it should boost/promote and preserve the whole income-generating aspect. 🤗♥️👏
Very nice overview, the landscape looks amazing, the mountainous backgrounds are leaning more towards spectacular it seems that there is something to see around every corner. This will be on my to-do list when I arrive, thanks for the tour, you guys.
My brother was stationed at Clark Air Base for a number of years. In fact, he met his wife while stationed there. Baguio was his favorite place to visit. I can see from your video why it was his favorite. Thank you for providing this intimate look at the area.

Baguio is a lot cheaper to live if you are an expat compared to other cities in Philippines! You will also save a lot of money from air conditioning and still have a fbit of fresh air compared to manila
Wow, you visit Baguio the summer capital of the Philippines. Have fun and enjoy your trip..More to explore there in Baguio. Be safe both and take good care.
Me and my wife are from Baguio and we already have a place. I’ll be retiring from my work here in the US and will be receiving my US pension soon but will live in Baguio and alternately in BGC. With also my Philippine pension, I guess I’m all set. For those here in the US and about to retire, consider retiring in the Philippines.

Baguio used to be the location of Camp John Hay, a US Military R&R base during the VN war. Later in the mid 80's my govt/DOD agency used to put on training conferences there at Camp John Hay. Sessions Road was still a country area, the main highways were dirt hills and SM was not even built. Then in the late '80s, there was a big earthquake there causing a lot of damage, now that has been replaced. My wife is a Filipina of 30 years; with homes at the lower levels of the mountains, so we travel to Baguio to cool off during the hot days when we visit PI, away from northern Nevada. It is known as a resort for all today and a lot has changed to make it a tourist site.
Tagaytay is a good alternative too. Still relatively a cool weather, with less congestion/pollution. And still near to beaches in batangas/galera (like baguio/el yu)

Retire with $966/month which is about $1,000/month is a lot of money in the Philippines…. despite it’s considered cheap and poor country. Surely, in some islands over there, there are people living with less than $200/month…!!
If you do not want to live in a decent place where water is scarce and so crowded then sure you can live with a budget of 200 dollars per month but people from the western countries can not tolerate that kind of life.
@@sandan778 Just slow down and be wise , $200 is kind of too low in comparison to $1K. Baguio is so different from the rest of the Philippines , absolutely amazing , a country within a country.
The same can be said of cebu, sagada, camiguin etc. These are all excellent places where one can find both fun and solitude
Wow. How well spoken the Filipinos are. So articulate, kind, respectful and extremely hospitable. Baguio is a beauty.
As cool weather fans this is probably the only city we would consider in the Philippines. Looks great !
