With most drummers I would say if you're not playing jazz in three time signatures, it's definitely not the hardest thing to play ever. But to play with the speed and accuracy that you do and to do a lot of it with one hand is something probably far beyond a lot of jazz musicians. One of the most impressive drummers I've seen and can't wait to see where you go from here. Make history baby!
@@TonyDeanDrums No. As a drummer that's been drumming for over 20 years, playing in orchestras, jazz bands and metal bands, metal is by far the hardest. I have a WAYYYY easier time playing jazz than metal.
@@electroelysium2281 I think it is comparing apples and carrots. If I ask a pro metal drummer to play take five or even some big band stuff it probably will sound like shit. Easy to do when you use drum replacement and quantize the tracks. Sorry, but you don't use earthworks mics, that far off the drum, with zero cymbal bleed. Unless of course all your drum mics are ported into SD2.

I’ve always loved The Rev’s use of the ride mid song. It’s so fresh and distinct when it turns up after a double kick blastbeat
Congrats on 1M!! Kick ass cover, The Rev would be proud of what he's inspired. If you're planning to keep some of that A7X theme going, I think 'Save Me' has your name written all over it ;)
I agree
Yes!
He just uploaded a short of him playing it lol
Holy HELL! The recording quality is so damn good. That fill at 5:00 sounds AMAZING!
The City Of Evil album is in my opinion the best music album ever released by any band ever. Just has to many bangers. Literally every song on this album is pure gold.......except one 👀 looking at you burn it down.
Nah burn it down is amazing. I said the same thing as you and eventually, I gave it a few more listens, I like it just as much as the rest!
"City of Evil" is my second favorite album of all time. My favorite album of all time is "Operation: Mindcrime".
Agreed....what a great album
Sounding the seventh trumpet was my favorite. Whole album just too good
Waking the fallen, City of Evil was okay. Almost everything after that was not to my likening.
the rev is looking down smiling upon you, much love for covering one of the most beloved drummers pièce de résistance. although you could argue that about most of jimmy's work and I would agree with you. any drummer worth his snuff knows how much technicality goes into this song and you put every single note exactly where it needed to be, much love.
There are no words to describe how amazing, difficult, and perfect this is.
Most metal genres are far more difficult than jazz of any kind
@@timbahr1792 There equal. Don't debate it.
@@TonyDeanDrums No. As a drummer that's been drumming for over 20 years, playing in orchestras, jazz bands and metal bands, metal is by far the hardest.
I have a WAYYYY easier time playing jazz than metal.
No one said is the hardest thing to play ever, hardest Avenged song maybe…
@@electroelysium2281 I think it is comparing apples and carrots. If I ask a pro metal drummer to play take five or even some big band stuff it probably will sound like shit. Just as if I ask a pro jazz drummer to play this, it will probably sound like shit. Are there exceptions, sure, but reality is it is easier to play the stuff you practice regardless of genre.
Back in the day, this was the first song I heard hertas used on the kick drum like that. I remember being SO hyped up. Then of course, probably Bleed. Now, everyone has complex kick drum patterns. Love it!
I was 14 when i first heard this song. This is the first time in 13 years i'm listening to it again. Congratulations to you on reaching 1M on RUclips! Keep inspiring people! 🔥🤘
Jorge, you never fail to make me feel better when I feel like crap. Thank you over and over and over! 🤘🤘👉👉🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕💙💙
Such a masterpiece, The Rev was so ...
By the way, the sound quality here is HUGE. It sounds like a big step up. Not saying it wasn't already good before. There's just something extremely crisp, and properly mixed going on here. You sound great!
Hard song to play indeed! I've never payed much attention on the drums of this song, it's nice to see someone playing it with this level of excellence, makes me realise how good of a drummer this guy was.
The Rev was a great drummer but our man here is punching it up A LOT.
@@avedisride Rev was very creative, I've been listening A7X because of this video, amazing drum lines. But yeah, Estepario is no joke, he can play it all and still adds more stuff.
How can you not pay attention on the drums in this song bro, it's the only thing i can hear since i first listened to it (even tho im a guitarrist). It's by far the best job Jimmy did.
Damn! That's a super great audio! Congrats for the 1M!! Totally deserved it!
Idk how i haven’t ever noticed the polyrhythms in this song…thats why I enjoy watching instrument covers. Excellent stuff
The Rev would be proud.. Killed it. Still one of the best albums of my lifetime. Great song choice for your cover.
Congrats sir! The best drummer on the planet. 💯
You are for SURE one of the BEST drummers in the WORLD & I hope you DO know that sir !!!!! Keep kicking ass & I am happy to see a lot of people are reaching out to you , you will for sure do some great things in life !!!!!!!
Idk if anyone’s aware but Avenged started playing this song live again in 2024 for the first time in almost twenty years!! I wonder if this video inspired them lol Shadows even mentioned the drum fill during the Cleveland show 😮
That part starting on 5:00 that was one hell of an improvement on that part of the music. Bet that The REV will be happy of you playing his music, just like Mike Portnoy did back in the day. Congrats on your 1M subs! You deserve way more than that, jodeeeeeeeeeeer!!!
It's tracks like this and many more that make me completely disregard all the hate A7X gets. They had such a major impact on my love of heavy music, whether you consider it heavy or not. Solid cover Siberiano. 🤘
I’m a guitarist and this is my fav A7X song because of the drums. Best cover out there thank you 🙏
Some major drum manufacturer should be giving this guy merchandise! If this guy isn't worth MAJOR drum gear endorsements I don't know who is! One of the most creative drummers I have ever witnessed! Somebody needs to recognize this guy's talent. Is otherworldly!
I mean yeah it's the hardest A7X song if you play it like this, jesus christ that was beautiful, what an absolute banger of a cover !
I would not say this is the hardest.
although i'm not a drummer, i realize that this song is incredibly hard to play. he makes it look so effortless with the precision of an atomic clock.
As a drummer, making a song with an already epic drum track and making one even more epic over it takes as much brain as it does skill. This video pretty much makes him legendary.
Easy to do when you use drum replacement and quantize the tracks. Sorry, but you don't use earthworks mics, that far off the drum, with zero cymbal bleed. Unless of course all your drum mics are ported into SD2.
Gene Hoglan practically has the title of atomic clock lol no clue...
@@xXNightedgeXx No he does have that title. Listen to his stuff with Death
Tf is an atomic clock pls
The Rev was such a genius and you my friend, have done his work amazingly proud. Phenomenal job as always ❤
Need For Speed Most Wanted, Avenged Sevenfold, y esta bestia encarnada de la percusión,Lobo Estepario, recordando los viejos tiempos de niñez con ese severo drum cover 🔥😎
geez man you make this song even better
Been waiting to see your professionalism in something like this ,hands down ,number 1. Thanks for not killing at 2:52..
I paused the video so he can rest a bit
No need bro, he is a robot
Hahahahahahaha
This was one of the best drum covers I've ever seen, incredible job man! You play so effortlessly 👍
I totally agree that save me deserve no. 1 🔥
This guy made that look easy.all his videos are amazing. What a great drummer
This guy is like a freakin alien! The clearest sound I’ve ever heard and it looks like he’s barely exerting any effort! Makes it look like a piece of cake! I’m truly in awe right now.
A7X would be fuckin proud of this cover. Damn dude seriously this is next level, congrats on 1 mil
He is literally in "the zone"! Fantastic song and greatly played!
The rev is why i wanted to pick up drums he was so freaking ahead of his time, absolutely crushed this song
I really love everything you do, your shorts are amazing, the covers are completely sick and i am looking forward to see more stuff of yours. Love from Germany
Way to make justice to an underrated song!! 🔥🔥🔥
Keep rockin' dude!! 🖤
I'm so glad you're bring some of these obscure a7x songs to light these days...songs like this are why most of us got into them in the first place.
If wackerman wasn't such an awesome fit, I can really only think of one other drummer that could somewhat fill the rev's shoes 😏 keep going bro
