I just spent an hour listening to some of Michael's latest ITB mixes. I just pulled up his All Music credits and started with the 2022-2023 mixes. Then I compared them to his early 2000s hardware mixes. And I got to tell ya, he mixes great either way, but the ITB mixes sound flat compared to the older mixes which have richer sounding compression and DEPTH. Depth is the main difference. The ITB work's sound one dimensional. I did this because I was thinking about selling my UA1176 because I need the money, but it's my only pro piece of hardware I own. The friggin INPUT knob is shorting out. Gonna cost probably $300 for shipping and repair costs to UA. That for a mono compressor.
here's a Studio One trick for this. If you've only got one bass track don't duplicate the track, simply add a Splitter and add 1 split. On the left side add the bass neck plugins and on the right and the bass body plugins. YOu can now blend the 2 with the faders in the splitter.
@@Rjellider hola. Add the Splitter plug-in in the Insert section. Open the Splitter gui and add a split using the + symbol. We only need to split the signal into 2. We are not splitting the signal into left channel right channel. The signal is duplicated. On the left side split add the 9000j plug-in and set it to the bass neck as shown in this video. On the right split add the 9000j and set it to the bass body sound. Each split has a fader, this is so you can blend the level of each split. Hope that helps
