- Making homemade strawberry jam is quite simple and you can even use frozen strawberries. This means that you can make it all year long, even when strawberries aren’t in season. I also love that this jam isn’t cloyingly sweet, since I use significantly less sugar than most recipes call for.

I am excited about this simple recipe. I am using frozen strawberries, Swerve brown sugar and one whole lemon (juice). I didn't want to use regular sugar as I was going to and brown Swerve was the only other thing I had. Trying to cut back on sugar. Also, I only had about a cup but I am hopeful that it will still be delicious and healthier;) Thank you for sharing! Blessings!
be careful not to go to low with the sugar, it’s an important part of the preservation process and could result in botulism if you don’t add enough!
DIS WAS ACtALLY SO GOOD IT WAAS THE BEST jAM EVER I DEF GONnA MAkE MORE THX
Made this!!! So good. I left my strawberry whole and didn’t mush them.. yummy
What is the shelf life?😊
Thanks for your time
Superb.. Such a simple and healthy recipe.. 💕💕
Mmmmmmm… delicious
Beautiful presentation
I love my strawberry jam with whole strawberries.
My face when im scrolling through "Starwberry Jam" video game mod videos and i see a video about actual strawberry jam:
I don't even know why people keep buying jars of it from the groceries.
Thank you! Looks great 😋
How long before spoiled?
1h
I mean.. The reason why people making jam is to preserve fruit.
So it's pretty long, i guess. Like maybe more than 1 week. Go search the info on internet since idk about jam knowledge. That's why i watch this video to learn
Looks yummy! Do you have a cherry jam recipie? I tried making some cherry jam this summer and didnt like the result.🙃
Hi Monica, I don't have a cherry jam recipe. We don't have a good supply of cherries in our area, but if I ever get some, I'll definitely share.
@@OlgasFlavorFactory okay, thank you 😊
How long will these last? Do they have to be stored in fridge?
If you properly sterilize the jars, they'll last for at least a year at room temperature. I have more details on my website. www.olgasflavorfactory.com/summer-favorites/how-to-make-homemade-strawberry-jam/
I prefer it with fresh homegrown strawberries
So do I, but most people don’t have a garden in their backyards. If you do, that’s wonderful.

What a dumb thing to say
Not really, just the guys preference.@@peter_420

Can you substitute sugar for honey?
How can long dies it last!
Used this as a guide to make watermelon jam. 😅
How was with a watermelon? I have never tried watermelon jam
@@floridahomeandgardeningwit5457 It is fantastic. It's already nearly gone. Though I will say, it was tough to get the little white seeds out. If I do it again, I won't use a "seedless" watermelon. It'll probably be easier to get the big, dark seeds out.
@@faszikilawang8445wow.. definitely will try.. how big watermelon did you use?
@@floridahomeandgardeningwit5457 Ooooh, well, my wife bought a big one and cut the whole thing up. When we had eaten what we were going to (about a third), I used the rest to make the jam. Must have been about 6 cups. And take your time cooking the water off gently. It's much juicer than strawberries.
@@faszikilawang8445 thank you so much! Will def make it!
How long does it last in fridge ?
🍓
How many months later can I still eating
So jams and jellies can thicken without using the sure jelly powder?
My question too!
Heyy i checked your website but the website doesn't specify any measurements, just lists the ingredients.
All the measurements are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the page.
Hi can i restored the jam in the fridge?
Yes.
For how long do you have to boil?
About 45 min, but it could also take about an hour. It depends on your stove, on the pot that you use and if you use fresh or frozen berries. The jam should reach a temp of 215-220 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you don’t have a thermometer, I have more details on how you can check without a thermometer on my website: www.olgasflavorfactory.com/summer-favorites/how-to-make-homemade-strawberry-jam/
Why do you scoop the foam off the top? I'm new and haven't made my first batch of jam yet.
Foam is a result of the boiling process releasing the air and forming bubbles or foam. It’s better to remove it, because it can cause your jam to spoil faster. It’s harmless if you eat the jam quickly, but if you want to store it for a long time, it’s best to remove the foam. Also, removing the foam will make the jam more clear, the foam makes it cloudy.
@@OlgasFlavorFactory ok cool thanks!
I will use brown sugar I do strawberries ice cubes instead of having ice cream

how long can you store it
If you sterilize the jars and preserve the jam and store it correctly, it will last at least a year.
You didn't use any Sure Jell??
@@lcolquitt45 no, I did not. It’s not necessary in this recipe.
How many days does it last?
If you sterilize the jars and can them, they will last for months.
Did you put water in there
No.
Mine turned out chunky 😅
Smush them all like in this video. This girl even use that tool to mush them

No pectin?
Not necessary you only just have to boil the jam a little longer, when it's done and have cooled a bit add a teaspoon of atamon to make it last way longer.
@albin432teasooon of what?
@@lcolquitt45 Atamon is a safe swedish old preservative, there must be something similar in your country as well which works with jam/drinks.
I could do without the added sugar

How about we use dates instead of sugar
"a lot less sugar"
Measurements and a warning about boiling Jam burning you with the blender. Nice video otherwise.
