- Undefeated former champion Brian Carlos Castaño (16-0-1, 12 KOs) of Argentina scored a technical knockout win over veteran contender Wale "Lucky Boy" Omotoso (28-5, 22 KOs) of Nigeria in a super welterweight showdown that headlined FS1 PBC Fight Night on Saturday from MGM National Harbor in Maryland. The official time of the stoppage came at the 3:00 mark of round five.
"I came in very ready for this fight," said Castaño. "I had to be a little patient with Omotoso, but I waited to hurt him and it all paid off.
"I'm ready to be a champion again," Castaño continued. "I'm prepared for any of the champions in my division. There are lots of great fighters in this weight class, but I truly believe that I can beat any of them."

Castano vs Charlo is gonna be a grueling fight for both fighters. Now that I have seen Castanos fights I dont think Charlo will have a easy go of it
I agree tomorrow will be a tough 1 for Charlo … Castano has stamina for for days , always pressuring his opponents, cuts the ring off beautifully, and has pretty fast hands and fluid combinations…
Yeah should be a good one - Castano has a plodding style, but he plays that role well - cuts off the escape routes - knows when to punch, & when to bide his time - counterpunches well, which is relevant because Charlo gets a little wide with those power punches - Charlo can box, but he also has that snap on his shots which carries into the late rounds, so Castano can't relax in there.
No idea who wins it, but the bookies are giving goods odds for Castano...
