Neville is such a good storyteller, he fumbles every once in a while when his mind floods him with thousands of pieces of information all at once, but he still manages to scrape through the story, making it all make sense and just to show it off, he will add a line just perfect enough to summarize the whole essence of the bit and make everyone go Woah!
i think i went through all the major emotions while watching this soul-nourishing interview. Fan for life, Neville. And thanks for doing this interview, Chalchitra
I think when talking about relationships with our parents, we have to be mindful of the fact that their experiences with their parents and their life before us play a larger impact on us growing into our own personality. When we say we have developed a rather complicated set of principles soo different to them is just another way of saying or trying to decode for ourselves, how things from our parents' lives have impacted ours in a way that we have realised that should or shouldn't be the case. I dont know if its right way of processing things (aka still figuring out) but i find it peaceful to associate my own actions to our parents' responses (for similar things) to learn and be more conducive to understand them better as well as develop personally at the same time. Yes, it is overwhelming at times and emotionally exhaustive in others but thats how you grow, right?, you grow in your relationships (with your parents too). I hope CCT & Disha explore this in Dishcoveries season 2?
Loved this so much! P.S. For someone who connects with Vaani as well as Neville, I can't help but imagine the kind of conversation they would have had.
Congratulations on 100K.. and this is the best episode by far.. Neville is the guy who dont' hesitate to bring out his mind infront of everyone and amaze us..!!.. Thanks..
I have not seen the full episode yet so idk if its mentioned but the color combination from a full cut looks beautiful the color of neville's pants and cusion nd other cushion matchin disha's top
Hey.. the channel can invite Varun Grover for an episode. He is a movie buff obviously and he also like reading books, poetry , music and stand up. A conversation with him will make a great episode I am sure!
I love love love this series and chalchitra! Big fan! One request: please mention trigger warnings if there are words and contexts of abuse coming up in an episode/in one section of the episode, to make this space more trauma-informed and inclusive.
Kinda ironic that the conversation is based around the unreal depiction of love on screen and how it shapes us, and Bawa talking about disrespect straight goes to the romantic notion of love being unable to co-exist with disrespect. Love, like all of us, is a complex emotion, and everyone slips up in their expression of it. It is imperfect, just like all of us, and there are bound to be moments we end up disrespecting, hurting, or otherwise negatively affecting another person (whether we love them or are in love with them). And it is up to the recipient whether they want to put up with it or not. But that doesn’t mean the love itself was never there or wasn’t true. This, of course, does not include relationships with continued instances of abuse of any kind.
About an year ago I had a dream in which I was hearing the same thing "Love Priide and Prejudice" . I am damn sure I have heared the same line in my dream and then next line "Dassi was actually an asshole ". This is also the same line I have heard in my dream How is this even possible man? Seems like my mind have time travelled to future to this exact time when I was sleeping
Things mentioned: Nora Ephron(Sleepless in Seattle et al) Falling out of love..? Silsila, Arth, Kramer vs Kramer...but they only told the tragic side of it, not the healthy one. Ladybird - parental love..?
If only you’d understand that every person is different and has a different vibe. Also, this isn’t an interview that required any more energy from the interviewer. It gives the chance to listen to and get the perspective of the person being interviewed..
I can listen to Neville all day but if he finds out then he will scold me for that only. BAWA GOAT
