Hi! Can you tell me at how much voltage do you put your power supply to make the "dot shade" (I know the name in french but not in english, i guess the name for it is whip?) , and what size of needle?

Marie-Eve Ste-Marie I tried with 4.8 or 5 V but the faster you do the strokes, the more you put voltage and the less is the voltage, less dots you make in each stroke. Also you have to make pendular movements to have that gradient effect. The needle must be 1 or 3 rl, even 5 if the tattoo is big.

Hes using a 9 round liner and a 3 round liner...set your machine at its lowest voltage that still gives enough punch of the needle..maybe 4.5 to 6...its easier with a rotary machine as well...with a coil machine the needle bog is different...and basically go in the skin at a 90 degree angle and pull away from the skin steadily and you should be able to create this effect..its a more liked style outside of America
...Americans like more even blending shadows...we call this dotwork...not whip shading..whip shading can be used to smooth out shadows and transition from dark to light...with any needle grouping and running machine at any speed...I whip shade every tattoo and never do I create the dot look..I run my machines very high 10.5 to 12 hope this helps not like the beginners comment before mine

That lining is super fast. Good and bad cause ink might not sink all the way moving that quickly. But everyones skin is different

Ao traçar a tatuagem você vai variando a voltagem da máquina ou utiliza sempre a mesma, percebo que você apenas pressiona a pele na direção contraria do movimento da mao da máquina e não a estica é isso mesmo?

Normalde Dragonfly kullanan biri olarak Raven'ı önerir misiniz ya da tercih etme sebebiniz nedir? Bildiğim kadarıyla Japon motora sahip bir makine ve Çin menşeili, yanlış biliyor da olabilirim. Gerçi yapılan iş ortada ama yine de cevaplarsanız sevinirim :)

El puntillismo de arrastre se puede hacer desde 3rl hasta 9rl si es más grueso no queda bien

All depends on your hand speed, what machine/needle you are using. In general, I don't slow down my machines at all for stippling
