Are the elves in your setting the gith?
I'm not sure I quite understand the question, but I'm sure the answer is no. The elves in my setting aren't based off any other race, nor have they replaced the Gith as the Gith do exist in this setting. Ihra, the woman who died on Meridar 3, was a Gith.
If the squids were dominating the elves, and the elves pushed back, becoming a really powerful power them-self; then I definitely see a parallel. I don't know if i can draw the conclusion that the illithids dominated the elves, from the fact that they were "THE power" 9:34. Looking forward to learn more from TDC, both about the normal D&D lore, and this campaigns lore. I appreciate your work.
Ah, now I can see how that parallel would be drawn by the current info available. All i can say is keep watching to find out :)
