Twisty jump course on Roger! | GoPro

- This was such a fun lesson! And just what I needed after taking the previous week’s lesson on Magic waaaay too seriously! Some of the poles & blocks from the grass jumping paddock have now been brought into the school for the Autumn which means we can play around with some more unusual lines and combinations. Tight twisty turns into/away from fences is where Roger excels as he’s so scopey and nimble, so although the exercises in this lesson were complex, I was still able to relax and have fun while Roger did all of the hard work! He was his usual amazing self and tackled everything with ease - we also managed a few more leg changes this week because I actually remembered to ask for them over the jumps instead of just sitting there like a lemon!! Please feel free to laugh at the run-out at the skinny, it was completely my fault because I saw it coming a mile away but for some reason didn’t actually do anything about it! 😂

QOTD- the horse I ride is scared of a pole let alone a filler haha
Anisha Doe I had the exact same problem with my mare, what’s working so far is lots (and I mean multiple times a week for quicker results) of patients and practice, starting small and working your way up
Ground pole to slightly raised and so on - we don’t use crops/whips or anything like that but that’s what works for her
C'mon giraffe pony 😂😂😂
I rode today on a horse called Gerry. He was amazing as we were practicing dog legs. ( a type if jumps) Though we accidentally jumped over an extra one. 😅 Love ur vids and ur riding. ❤️
Kiera. x
That little neck BOB is everything
your teacher seems so nice!! 🥰rog is a great little jumper & both of you seem to be progressing really well!!🤍😽
QOTD ~ Although i ride many different horses and ponies, they don't usually spook, just an occasional refusal!! 🐎
Amazing video as always! I love this channel so much tbh!!! You're an amazing jumper 💕🏇💕
The horse I ride/own is scared of everything
KirstyKasper the horse I ride is scared of colours 😹😹😑
The horse I ride is scared of lights in the arena 🤣
SAME 😂 Mine is literally scared of GRASSSS
KirstyKasper the one that I ride is scared of literally NOTHING, like, one time a horse runned in her direction and almost falled on her, and she was just like: meh in just gonna continue eating my carrot xD
@@mayapagliara6679 XD
Your instructor is so supportive! Love that!!🙌🙌
A: My horse used to be a fox hunter and eventer, so she’ll jump anything!
Oh lovely!! I’m so glad you had a good lesson! Roger did you proud! 💕
QOTD: my own horse is great but can be a little suspicious if you're nervous but the pony I ride at my stables definitely chooses fillers she doesn't like and they change almost every day! 😂
Love Roger and your channel so much!! Great video (no surprises there)!!!! ♥♥
I was riding a horse named Archer yesterday he was trying to buck me off because I was holding the reins too tight when I cantered, and my teacher told me to let my reins go to the buckle, and he was PERFECT. What did I tell my teacher?
MEGAN YOU'RE MAGIC
Natasha The Equestrian my trainer is named Megan to lol!
@@VictoriaRoseofficial lol!! its the megans!!
127/10 good boy
That is amazing! I am on the road just leaving a horse show
Wow
QOTD:The horse I ride is fairly old now and he doesn’t really jump anymore so we tend to just do canter poles or really small crosses.
Brilliant work today,
QOTD: It depends what mood he's in and how bad my anxiety is that day
Roger reminds me a lot of my pony Gepetto
Edit- Gepetto is not afraid of jump fillers he loves jumping so muchb
This looks like so much fun. Would love to jump a little course as well but currently I don't have a pony I could ride.. ❤️
You are so confident and good at riding!! Also see the chestnut in the start of the video omg that muscle tho 😍😍
The horse I own is SCEARD of trotting poles,a cross pole, and a shuger cube XD🤣🤣🤣🤣
I ride for polo so the horses I ride are fearless😂
I ride lots of different horses at my riding school but the only one I have jumped (mollie) isn’t afraid of anything apart from some branches
Woooh!!
I rode this horse called Gemma, we were doing pole work and we had a raised pole literally 5cm off the ground, she was only supposed to trot over it but no instead she decides to JUMP over it and I almost fell right off and she also over jumped it so that made it worse
Oh wow
You've got your self another subscriber!
A: the horse i ride used to be a Grand Prix jumper so he has so much confidence he can jump anything that he’s not scared of any jump 😂
I LOVE YOUR PONYS OS MUCH
I RIDE TO
YOUR MY AMAZING HORSERIDER
I can’t wait to get back to riding I miss it to much (2020 peep here)

OMG new video😍🙌
MY FAVORITE HORSES AT MY BARN
Sunlight: pony my favorite she has a fast canter and if I put a tiny peace of leg on him he will move to the next gait I don't use s crop on him
Candy: she's the best horse ever she has a beautiful canter she has very good gaits and she is well awesome my 2 favorite
QOTD my pony isn’t really scared of much just sassy most of the time 😂
The horse I ride is 100% bombproof he loves jumping so no he will jump anything if he is able
I’m scared to do jumps, I do them once or twice. I’m doing dressage. Even though my horse loves jumping!
Kathy Corker I hope that you have your confidence back up now so you try jumping it’s very fun and I’m sure you also like dressage but jumping is like dressage with some obstacles.
Always when you jump i preatend that i am jumping
Same!!!
Same!!!!!!!!
@@everythingrodeo2537 ye i know
That’s the whole purpose of me watching GoPro videos is to imagine me riding to kind of « visualize » because that is actually scientifically known to help better a skill if your not riding
QOTD: No the horse I ride doesn't jump, she does dressage. But if I'm jumping with one of the horses I jump with then nooooo, not one spook
Shes not afraid of fillers but trash cans blow her mind 😂😂
Also she isnt scared of any of the barn dogs but my trainer recently rescued a great dane who comes outside leashed every now and then and i dont think she knows what it is 😂 wont get near it
Love
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Я обожаю тебя
Hey 🤗 I recently started using a headcam but the footage is such a large file I can’t edit it then when I drop it to 720p the quality drop is very obvious... erm any suggestions? 😅 thanks
My loan horse is elderly and can no longer jump so im not sure. But my own personal horse Storm is not scared of anything. 😂
My horse takes a couple of time to get him over a pole but then he’s not scared of a scary filler 🤣
QOTD: i ride a horse named Space. He will jump over anything no matter how ‘scary’ it is😂😂♥️
How the hell you keep your hands so still?????
Awesome job today! I love when the arena is like that, tbh that’s what my riding school’s arena is like. Ps, loved roger’s brow band! 😂😍👍🏼🐴
ScottyTubeHD This is the most jumps we’ve ever had in the arena and it’s so much fun! Rodge’s brow band is cool isn’t it! His loaner is sponsored by Cavallina Browbands so she gets some nice ones for all the ponies she rides 😃
PonyCam so jealous that she gets the nice brow bands 😂. It’s interesting that your instructor used one of the jumps from and field and they way that the jumps are positioned. 👍🏼🐴
What stables do you ride at ? x
QUOTD:I never jumped so idk but the horse I ride the most doesn’t seem to be scared easily
just curious as to what you cover your arena with? also you ride rlly well! 🖤
I think its wood chipping 😊
Claire Herrnstein It’s wood chip (designed especially for equestrian arenas so it’s hard wearing but not sharp/splintery) x
oh awesome (: it looked like chips, but i wondered how that would work on the frog of the hoof. awesome riding 🖤
what gopro you used in this video?
Mehazs Hi it says in the description she uses a GoPro hero 6
Hi I’m jumping with no stirrups on Tuesday has Anyone got any tips
No idea tbf
Keep your legs as straight as you can and relax if you tense you will bounce about and most likely fall off but think of it like sitting trot but yeh main thing is to relax and breath hope this helps 😊
Lucy Talbot thank you this helps a lot 😊
CeceH no problem hope it goes well for you the first time I did it I had not been told to keep my legs straight and just bounced off the sides 😂
Grab onto the mane if you need to!!
Who is your trainer
QOTD- my horse is literally not bothered by anything, he’s 7 and a saint😂
QOTD-The horse i ride is scared of her own shadow sometimes
Edit:spelling
how old is roger x
He’s 16 x
QOTD nope not really he’s around 16 and has done a LOT of jumping sooo...
Silver creek Stables my horse is 29 lol
QFTH: Depends
Hi love you❤
How old is Rodger?
He’s 17 😊
@@PonyCam Wow really? I thought he was like 8 or 10!😂
He’s never really acted his age 🙈😂
@@PonyCam 😂
How tall is Roger? That other horse makes him look tiny aha
Kaydee Underdown Roger is 14hh, the chestnut horse is over 17hh 😊
PonyCam I’m riding an 18hh who looks similar to the chestnut! It’s pretty scary jumping him lmao
Hi! This is not hate but you should put some music because sometimes is a bit boring only hear "good boy" love you❤️
A lot of people who watch my vids have told me that they enjoy them particularly because there is no music. Some people who cannot ride for various reasons including loss of confidence, injuries & disabilities have also told me that they like to watch and pretend they are riding the horse themselves, including hearing all of the different sounds, so I don't like to add music for those reasons :-)
@@PonyCam ah ok
Omg first
Nope...
new challenge: take a shot everytime she says “good boy”
eekkkk early love u 😘 xxx
Where do you get your fill from?
Why do you always say “good boy”?😂😂 not hate or anything, just a question
I say it, usually along with a pat or scratch on the withers, to let the horse know he/she did the jump/excercise really well, or to let them know I'm pleased when they do something small but significant, like if they relax and stretch really nicely during flatwork, or listen well to my seat/legs and do a great transition etc. I know it sounds like a say it a lot, but I only ever say it when the horse has actually done something that deserves praise, even if it's just something small that you can't see on the camera :-)
PonyCam oh wow thanks for the answer 🥰 I usually do that too, but only with pats and scratches, sometimes kisses too😂
You should do showjumping in public in front of people
*SHOWJUMPING HORSES GOT TALENT! >:3*
It’s fine if u can’t and you’re not ready yet uwu
