I sold the truck but may still be able to find the footage I have and make an edit. Here is the exact same process on a 5th Gen I did. ruclips.net/video/QSxPY_9OZQ8/видео.html
Hey sorry I thought you were talking about the 5th gen. It's actually the exact same process. See if this helps ruclips.net/video/QSxPY_9OZQ8/видео.html
@@BtwilliasGarage - at 1:14 just viewer's right (maybe a hand width) of your pointing finger. There's an 'upside down U'- shaped weight that hangs on a bracket bolted to the transfer case. Just a curiosity, really; I've never been able to figure out what it is.
Dang, good question. The best I can think of is that it balances the weight AND/OR works as a mini skid plate haha. Let me know if you ever get a confirmed answer. Thanks for watching!
My transfer case drain bolt didn’t have a magnet either. Thanks for the video
Which crush washer did you end up using?
Love the 3rd gens!
Me too! You will probably like this video 🤘 ruclips.net/video/_7l2IQ07ExY/видео.html
Thank you for these videos, please post the front differentials as well
I should have got a set of TRD Wheels. Those look great
Thank you! The market used to be like $300-450 for near perfects. Not sure what it is now. A steal if you ask me for the look
You never uploaded front diff 💔
What was the part number of the crush washer used for the transfer case?
P.S. Mine didn’t have a magnet either. 2000 Limited 4x4
Here you go amzn.to/2tZqBWW

Did you ever do the video on the front diff

@@AntonioClaudioMichael yeah a few months after. We had a baby and I sold a few of my cars to get a new one with more trunk space 😁
@@BtwilliasGarage awww I got you Brother Congratulations on the Baby
Just changed the gear oil on my 2001 4Runner's transfer case. No magnet on my drain plug either.

+Bill Gorum thank you
Same. No magnet.
Awesome video's! I can't seem to find one for the front diff, did I just miss it?
Ah, I forgot to finish editing that one! I'll get it up for us in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for letting me know and for the compliment!
@@BtwilliasGarage Really appreciate you taking the time to make these. They're super helpful. Thanks!

Did you do the front differential fluid ? I was looking forward to seeing that video.
Yes sir I'll try to release it by Saturday
@@BtwilliasGarage thank you, looking forward to it. I believe I have a bad seal on one of the front axles.

Same to you! Hope you have a good one
No magnet on drain plug on my 96 gen3
What kind of lift kit did you put on your 3rd gen 4Runner?
Hey there - it's just a Rough Country 3 inch body lift. Very affordable option
Btwillia's Garage looks good man 👍
@@neng631 I appreciate it!
I like mine 3rd gen
Do you need to do this on automatic 2WD vehicles?
No sir
Please remember to say what size sockets you are using (or a text list)
Thank you, I will keep that in mind
any idea what's up with the random weight hanging off the transfer case?
Can you tell me the duration time of my video where it is shown?

No problem. Thanks for the vid. Interwev says some kind of harmonic damper. I guess they tried to tack it on to stop vibration in the drive train.
@@zachary981 I was wondering this same thing the other day - hoping I hadn't lost whatever it was connected to! LOL. It seems so out of place.
Is this 2WD or 4WD?
It's 4WD. 2WD does not have a transfer case or front differential
