    This is a dream of mine. Taking the fam up to a cabin for about 5 days during Christmas time, visit a couple small towns around the area, spending great, quality time with my family.

    Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm pretty sure that you all know about the ties having Creasolt in them to manage the bugs and rot. However, this chemical is deadly to you and your lungs. So, please watch how you burn the railroad ties. Only do it outside and stand up wind whenever you are burning. If you are going to cook, do not cook over the ties or roast marshmallows because of the chemicals in the ties. Be safe my Christian friends.

      Merry Christmas, John. We'll be careful with the railroad ties. Thank you for watching!

    Merry Christmas! I love your cabin...I could move right in! Too bad those RR ties are rotten...they are useful for lots of stuff when intact... be careful, & don't work too hard 😊

    why do you burn so much wood ? :|

    • @stonehillcabin
      @stonehillcabin  2 года назад

      We only burn the trees from our forest that have died or fallen in storms. Burning wood is much less expensive than heating our home with propane and removing dead wood from the forest maintains its health.

      @@stonehillcabin but you burn it outside, why you are not stock the wood for winter ?

    • @stonehillcabin
      @stonehillcabin  2 года назад

      Oh, yes. Some wood cannot be burned indoors either because it is treated with chemicals like the railroad ties or because it is a type of wood, like pine, that will secrete and burn different kinds of sap that will stick to the lining of the chimney and cause house fires. Only high quality wood can be burned indoors for safety.

      @@stonehillcabin In Romania we burn every piece of wood indoors, without any problems..
