*Dedicated to my friend, Gabriel, who suddenly passed away on June 2. Rest in peace and fly higher, young man.
    A positive experience onboard Scoot.
My original plan for this sector was to take Indonesia AirAsia QZ659, however, not long after the booking was made, Indonesia AirAsia canceled my flight and made it tough for me to get a refund, and I was left scrambling for tickets home. It turned out that Indonesia AirAsia had reduced their Yogyakarta - Singapore vv frequency to 4 times a week, resulting in my flight getting dropped from the schedule and, eventually, canceled. I was forced to pay twice the price of the original price just to ensure that I could get to Yogyakarta safe and sound.
I checked in right at the airport just 2 hours before departure using the automated kiosks. Printing the boarding pass and bag tags was straightforward, but I had a lot of trouble using the automated baggage drop system because it wouldn't read my bag tag and passport properly. It took me 4 times to get it right, and eventually, with the help of a staff member. What was meant to be a 5-minute process took sixfold, but I was eventually able to go to my boarding gate - after being asked to turn back by the immigration machine once due to a glitchy camera.
Boarding was rather chaotic because of the location of the security checkpoint which was just before each gate. The full flight created a bottleneck in the security checkpoint, resulting in long queues before the gate and a slow boarding process. Once I reached the plane, I was welcomed by a set of energetic cabin crews and proceeded to my seat at 3A. While my first impression of the crews and flight was good, my first impression of the cabin was not. The cabin looked dusty, and some of the ceiling tiles were already falling apart and duct taped.
Takeoff was only a few minutes behind schedule despite the chaotic boarding, and we were soon on our way. The usual services of meals and duty-free items began, but I decided not to buy anything and stayed in my dull but comfortable seat. I then went to the toilet just before landing, and while waiting, I gave the self-created emoji pin that I gained by joining a college event to the crews. Once done, I sat back in my seat, enjoying the uneventful flight. Before that, though, one of the crews had some interest in the art I created and proceeded to ask me a few questions to which I happily explained.
The landing was 15 minutes ahead of schedule, and I disembarked last to take pictures with the crews, yet again. Even with that, I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my bag delivered, because of the usual slowness of Yogyakarta's ground handling staff.
Overall, the same positive Scootitude that Scoot boasted still existed on this flight, and this time, they saved me from being completely stranded in Singapore. Aside from the crooked cabin, problems with the automated machine, slow security, and slow baggage handling, all of which do not seriously impact the fact that I enjoyed this flight, I could find no other faults on this flight.

Something I forgot to add: The nosename of this plane is "Jagiya", a Korean term meaning "Darling".
I am dedicating this video to my friend who passed away on June 2, 2024. He is a big influence to the Indonesian aviation community. May he rest in peace.
The bonus time scene is recorded on an Odakyu 1000 Series train headed for Odawara at Hakone-Itabashi.
