These videos are actually convincing me to get a 3d printer and do some props. I'm a graphic designer and make cosmetics for weapons on my PC but this seems like so much more fun :p

Do you have a Prusa printer, I saw it had some orange bits before. I went with the Prusa i3 mk3 one!
Yup got myself a mk2s a year ago, prusa makes great printers, if you put in the elbow grease they print absolutely amazingly, great choice my man, you should join the prusa community Facebook group, they were immensely helpful!
Sure Ill check it out! I'm glad living in EU for once paid off, usually I gotta pay tons in shipping and tax from the states but seems a decent amount of 3d printer & filament manufacturers are in EU! :D

you made a mistake in the title, the wingman is from titanfall, the wingman was taken from titanfall and put into apex.

no one in this comment section is talking about the fact that the wingman is from titanfall and not apex legends, the wingman was in titanfall way way way before it was in apex, so please get it right next time.
Yes the OG wingman is 100% from titanfall, but if you look at the models, the one in apex is actually updated and revamped since t2 so the one I made is in fact “from Apex Legends” but yeah I agree the essence of the gun is from the better game, thanks for dropping by!

pirotiv thanks! not much, as I did in the vid I placed the tape onto the piece and carefully cut it on there directly, I wouldn’t even try to mask off the lettering, it’s too intricate, could use a dark wash on that if you wanted it to stand out! Hope that helps, by all means feel free to ask anything else, I’m happy to help!

I'd love to make a wingman, I have a 3d printer but all the painting things really confuse me. Is there anyway you could link me a article or video on this kind of thing to push me in the right direction to become like you? I don't really know what to search.
Thanks for checking me out, glad you liked it, there are many ways to paint unless you already have an air brush I’d recommend going to the shop and getting a few spray cans in a few colors, there are loads of tutorials floating around but I always find that experience in the best way to learn, so after skimming through a few articles, just hop on into it, expect to have mishaps that you will learn from. Couple tips from me personally, regular masking tape and spray cans are simple and yield good results when you’re first starting out, always spray in an open area and if you aren’t comfortable putting your pieces onto sticks like me, just place it on some newspaper!

Hi! I got mine at a local hobby shop many years ago, searching “circle paper cutter 10-300mm” seems to yield results similar to what it have, maybe you can get one online, hope that helps!

excellent model. my printer is a bit too small for the main body pieces and the top rail. any way you could split the main body into 4 separate parts(2 for each side)? id do it myself, but it's so hard to edit an STL file and I figure you have all the files necessary to do so.
The main body is already in 2 pieces, or do you mean split the “main body front” into two? If it’s just the rail then you could split it right down the middle (let the ridge at the end of the ridges hide the seam)!
@@RyanKhoo yeah i can easily split the rail. im trying to get the bottom rail and barrel apart, since the bottom rail is thin enough to be rotated 45 degrees and fit, but it cant with the barrel attached. Ive been trying for hours to get it apart in blender and i just cant use that program for the life of me

What layer thickness did you use?
I find 0.15mm is a good compromise between speed and surface finish, makes sanding just a bit easier than the standard .2mm
Thickness of what may I ask? Looking to buy a printer so I’m just curious of what this means
@@gavinherr9420 it’s the thickness of plastic layers, one layer on top of the other to build up the 3D object, it’ll make sense once you learn a bit more about how FDM style 3D printing works, you can change the thickness in the setting before printing
@@RyanKhoo I wasn’t sure if it was like the nozzle size or the filament size. So you just recommend the thickness above for each layer for this project
What glue did you use?
Good ol two-part epoxy, but superglue should work fine too!
