Highlights Of Bangalore Lal Bagh Flower Show 2017

This is the 206th Flower Show 0f Lal Bagh. It was inaugurated on 4th August and it will be there till 15th August. The special feature of this years Flower Show is the floral replica of Rashtra Kavi Kuvempu's house in Kuppalli, Shimoga, Karnataka made of 3.5 lakhs of Dutch Roses, Carnations and Orchids. Kuvempu is the first writer in Kannada to be awarded the Jnanpith Award 50 years ago. He is widely regarded as the greatest Kannada Poet of the 20th Century. The other attractions are The bust and cut outs of Kuvempu's different phases of life , Kavishaila of Kuvempu and Jog Falls..
This Flower Show is excellent. It has exhibited about 85 different kinds of flowers. It has several attractive stalls too. A visit to this flower show is not only enjoyable but also very informative.
