- Not long ago, I started my fly fishing journey. It definitely has been a lot of challenges and lesson to be learned. While being on the river, I noticed some surface activity so I gave dry fly fishing a go. I stopped by at the store "Pacific River Outfitting Company" on Vedder River for tips and flies. Sure enough it got me into some fish which got me surprised and excited. Watching the fish come up and grabbing the fly is probably one of the coolest thing to witness. Nature at its best. It turned out to be a productive day. Vedder River

You need to convert that reel to right hand retrieve if you are fishing as a lefty! the line should be coming out of the bottom of the reel towards the eyelet not the top

What would say is better useing a floater and like cast up stream or fly fish for salmon btw and could do a vid for the best fly fishing stuff for beginners
For salmon I use a float setup since I have more confidence in it. As fly fishing go I won’t able to help you out since I don’t know much 🥲 give the fly tackle shop a call!

use your whole arm and try less wrist for now.. alot less....2 o clock and ten oclock are the postions of ur rod tip while u learn then youll get the rest LEARN A ROLL CAST
