  • Hello all! It is finally that time of the year. It seems like it's been forever since the last salmon season. This is the setup I ll be using for red spring(Chinook) salmon. There are numerous ways to catch red springs but from my experience float setup have been working the best. Goodluck out there!

    Great video, and big fan. I always hooked up my bead with the bead stopper the other way, having the long part actually go through the bead where the hole was made. I find it slides less and a little lower profile. I could be wrong haha

    Do you have a video that teaches about reading water? I believe that it's the key element to fishing, regardless of gear

    Great video! So, what's up with pink salmon? I thought you said that 'if they open...' Can you let us know the regs on the openings for salmon this year? Cheers!

    • @Go2fishingbc
      @Go2fishingbc  Год назад +3

      Thank you sir! Well it’s pink salmon year but it’s also the year that the big flood happened in 2021. My guess is they won’t open due to low numbers. July 1st you can retain red springs not sockeye or coho. From September the regulation changes

    The last video you posted you showed a better way of putting the soft bead on the hook. You actually put the hook right threw the soft beed and you swore of that set up. You said you land 80% more salmon. Now you show the bead 1 inch above the hook. So which one is it?

    • @Go2fishingbc
      @Go2fishingbc  16 дней назад +1

      This video is from 2 years ago. The one with hook through soft bead is more recent. I hook it through the soft bead now

    Long leader doesn't mean flossing at all , very different style or application (fast water vs ultra slow water , deep vs shallow) - I like long leaders in slow water for coho - egg on the long one just naturally bounces off of the bottom and triggers fish to bite it.But I know why you saying long leader is flossing because of the terrible Vedder river fishermen that want to take as much fish home as possible by not just flossing but snagging (nasty hsssssss sounds) at the end of each drift.

    • @Go2fishingbc
      @Go2fishingbc  11 месяцев назад +3

      Totally agree with you. It’s the classic Vedder let her rip technique that gets people going at it

      @@Go2fishingbc btw very nice videos - keep them coming :) yeah these guys ruin nice fishing for everyone on the river.Can;t wait to have more fish enter the system - and hike hike hike through the bushes away from these nasty rippers to find perfectly biting fish.
