Paramount's fan films rules suck! They are cutting their own throat. If they let fans make films without restrictions as long as they give credit to the franchise owners all it would do is promote a bigger fan base for the studio and probably find an amazing amount of stories and undiscovered talent.
Uniforms were ordered from a costume company that does custom jobs. They were pretty durable. The ones used in Last Survivor/Left Behind were not nearly as well made (and from same company though got off of ebay). Odenkirk eh? Gotta love Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
I think according to Paramount/CBS I get to make ONE more, probably going to go darker like the 1st. Check out Star Trek: Survivor if you haven't seen it. I really enjoyed Red Shirt. It's one of the best Trek Fan Films I've seen.
MrBnetV You do realize that the guidelines are just that, guidelines. Nothing really has changed as far as fan films go. If you go outside the guidelines, there is a very tiny chance that CBS may slap you down, same as before. If you are not trying to profit from the Trek IP, they probably will leave you alone. The guidelines are just the unspoken rules from before, but now verbalized. I think CBS' generosity toward fans wanting to play in the sandbox is still in place, only now we know what will happen should any supposed "fan" attempt to line his pockets off of their intellectual property.
Though that sounds fun, I wasn't planning on going the prequel route. The purpose of doing stories set in the post-Nemesis/DS9 era (aside from having my favorite uniform design) is because I want to see the future of Star Trek, not so much the past or alternate realities (though there will be a little bit of that in the next one). Thanks for watching, and I guess I need to check out Enterprise again. I assume you enjoyed the M.A.C.O. shout-outs in Star Trek Beyond? LLAP.
I noticed that also. The older phaser with the newer uniforms. I just figured that that was all they were able to grab before beaming onto the planet. I always liked the older phasers over the TNG ones. The best phasers were the phaser rifles from Voyager and the MACO weapons from the Enterprise later seasons.
I'd like to think ship design has a minor bearing on a story. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of the movie. I saw a Star Trek fan film today that was 80% CG starships floating around with some music taken from one of the movies...then a static scene with two actors relaying exposition for the rest of it. It had a beautiful thumbnail, but it was not a complete story (it was also monetized, which I disagree with for fanfilms). For better or worse, our plan is to have a complete story with each Star Trek fan film we do, and make it an adventure. LLAP
@@MrBnetV Thanks for replying! I did watch the story afterwards and get that continuity and aesthetics is probably not that important in this story, and I think that’s great! LLAP.
I'm a little confused... Which film comes first -- "Survivors" or "Last Survivor"? Each film is referenced in the other, yet one has to take place before the other.
@@ChristinaMoore79 Hope you enjoy it. Survivor was shot on my old camera with lower production values than I have now, but the story goes into some DS9-esque moral dilemmas that made it fun to do.
Thanks! Feel free to check out the other ones we did. As far as I'm concerned Picard Season 3 was a nice "ending" to Star Trek as I know it...after years of substandard and downright terrible efforts. TMP in 4k was beautiful though. LLAP.
The long standing plan is to do 6 treks in total to complete the "arc." Each one has had its challenges, but over the past year or so the greatest issue is balancing all the projects with available time (and people). 4 short movies are to come before the year is done. Star Trek is aiming for November. Latest western will drop soon. Indiana Jones/Conan The Barbarian in October...and Alien/Predator in December (hopefully).
Good filmmaking technique. Camera, choreography and editing were well done. Too many repetitious fight scenes. And why subvert your entire piece with that silly joke at the end?
These fan films are increasingly where creative Star Trek lives. Folks need to support these
efforts any way they can.
Agree.
Thanks for the entertainment. Live long and prosper!🖖
Very nice indeed.
The product of a lot of hard work and good improvisation. Glad you enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the banter at the end 😂🖖
Nice job fellow fan film makers.
Extremely well done. A very compelling story. Congrats all around
That was not bad at all. Enjoyed it. Still got a story in 15 minutes.....take that fan film rules!!!

Love it! True trek cannon because it has a sense of humor too.
Super😊❤
Tragedy is easy. Now, comedy, that's hard. Well done!
"I've only got one bar."
:D
Well done! A spectacular film that truly shows the love for Star Trek. This deserves at LEAST a thousand more views. Keep up the great work!
I wish you could do longer ones, but that’s not a complaint. Good job
Most recent trek could have been 30 mins, but a good edit has made it 15. Very fast paced and action packed. Will be out before the year is done.
If you wake up every morning and watch this fan film, you will have all the skills necessary to succeed in life.
Commanding officer looks like Bob Odenkirk. Where did you get the uniforms? They fit really well.

Love it! Great action and humor is well executed. Bravo!
Paramount should give these guys money to make a full Trek feature.
LOL - Nice work! Lot's like so much fun making a fan film.
Well, this explains what happened to the Enterprise-E. A well-done episode.
The opening space battle was very nice (no shields though)?!! Good interplay between the two main characters. Enjoyable video.
cool interpretation of the Ent-E. love the ending... lol
I agree the ending was funny. Good one. Shout out to the writers; I bet they have Sprint. LOL
that was fun.
Fight scene's were great, good moves.
Well done...liked and subbed.
Awesome work! Look forward to more in the future :)

Would you ever consider making an episode based on the M.A.C.O. s from Enterprise or about the Alternate Universe (bearded Spock-Empress Sato)

yup... well done.
That was nicely done. The TOS phaser was a cool addition. Good work. Maybe another video?
Glad you liked it. There are new ideas brewing.

The fight scene in the beginning 7:44 of the video was great.
The compression rifles are a great design. If only I had some...
Very clever.
Excellent work!
Same to you! Infinite Sky reached Ridley Scott levels of visual splendor. Jurassic dudes made me laugh.
Thank you! From one trek fan to another, your trek fan film was very good.
I think I spotted a video Copilot Saber effect......nice.
What was the camera you used to film with, if you don't mind me asking
Don't know what copilot saber is (but I'm sure Snake Force does). This little production was filmed on the Canon 7D. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice work, but a NX vessel takes worst lickings......but, the story,
I guess. 🖖✨
They forgot to pay their incredibly expensive bill for their satellite phones ;-)
Was attracted to watch because the thumbnail suggests an interesting design, kinda bummed it’s the Enterprise-E and got destroyed immediately??

The order is: Survivor, Survivors, Last Survivor (though each one is designed to be stand alone, they are kind of a trilogy).
@@MrBnetV Okay, then I have missed one. I have seen the last two, but not the first. Gonna have to look for Survivor.
@@ChristinaMoore79 Hope you enjoy it. Survivor was shot on my old camera with lower production values than I have now, but the story goes into some DS9-esque moral dilemmas that made it fun to do.
Fan-made used to be something to laugh at,now it's the only real Trek anymore.

The vulcan looks strangely like Justin Long.
yes i noticed that too. He does look like him.
I know, it's weird. He could play his double in films. Ha, ha!
hahaha
This random guy is 10,000 times better of a Spock than the dude in the JJ movies
Agreed. We've got our "Star Trek V" coming soon. Check out the trailer if you like.
@@MrBnetV you guys are doing more? That’s awesome

Why do fan films always have way too close up shots of actors faces? Annoying...
Thanks

Truth? It was fun. Thanks for the support and check out Last Survivor for a darker continuation.
