    As a Beijinger, now is not the best time to travel to Beijing. Moreover, it is the Chinese New Year holiday and there are many people traveling to Beijing. I guess you will go to the Great Wall or the Temple of Heaven today. I am very familiar with the geography of Beijing. Are you staying at the Ying Xiang Cheng Hotel in Longfu Temple? Welcome to Beijing. If you have any questions, I will try my best to help.

      Thank you very much! We have left Beijing now. The videos are a few days out! We loved China though!

    This is a temple, that is another temple...🤣
    Not all the Chinese architectures are temples. Actually only 1 or 2 temples. 99% "temples" are just normal pavilions - places for public resting or for tea houses.😂 Imagine if I go to London parliament building and downing street, and say this is a church, that is another church... 😂

      @@TravelwithMikeandDem Exactly, that's what I meant. And who says that the Chinese are not religious? There're temples allover the streets everywhere we go. 🤣

    Its really really cold there😅 Heat packs are available in supermarkets; they're helpful if you don't have enough clothes.
    Enjoy & have great food.

    Weird I went in 2018 and we just rolled up and bought tickets. This is probably because of the lunar new year holiday.

    £2 is a lot for that pastry :D. you're paying about double normal at all those touristy areas but I know by western standards it's still pretty cheap. guess you got wechat or alipay up and running?

      @TravelwithMikeandDem  11 месяцев назад +2

    I did not realised that you could vlog in China, i thought this would be a dead give away as to whether people in China are oppressed and are not free!?
    Just going along with the UK media like the BBC, were you harrassed and followed by the Chinese police? Did you get any of them approach you to pay you to say nice things about China?

      Nah man everything was fine. The people were very friendly and welcoming. There is a language barrier in some place but most of the places we went were touristy so more english speakers than rural areas I think. Police weren't bothered by us. Everything ran really smoothly and efficiently. Like trains etc. No one approached us etc. We were a little nervous based on all the stuff some western media say but honestly it has been one of the best experiences we've had, hands down! But we aren't citizens so...although Shanghai has lots of British living and working there and they all seem happy enough

      为什么你们老觉得中国人被压迫?哈佛大学曾经做过调查,中国人90%几以上支持中国政府,被压迫会有这种数据?

      Lol, if you trust mainstream UK media like BBC, Sky news, The Guardian etc, then you're not learning the truths about countries like China, Russia, Iran, etc.
