@@brookejulia to be fair, there is some psychology behind learning in a group setting vs. learning to learn for yourself - there are all kinds of distractions at school, and the teacher has to try to teach to everyone's learning style, whereas on YT you can find something that works for you, and that might not work for everyone - I know learning in school is tough, but be kind to your teachers and the good ones will do their best to help you learn.
Thank you so muchhhh!!!!! I was going to take my test soon but i still don't understand diagramming. Thanks man i totally understand how diagramming works now!
I don't remember learning this in school. I wish I had. I've always struggled with solid grammar as a writer. I'm in a Grad Studies of English Language class that introduced me to this. I can definitely see the benefit of this approach for revisions of my stories. Awesome!
I just recommended that the editors of the local newspaper watch this, as today they has this hypertext headline on their online edition, and I later found it to be the same in the print edition. "Springfield man accused of shooting baby caught by federal agents". This elicited several questions. Why would federal agents catch a little baby? And why, after doing so, would they let a man shoot the baby they caught? And does the paper only hire incompetent editors?

So happy that you are creating RUclips videos so all students worldwide have access to a great teacher like you!!! TY for all you are doing"!!! You are truly a blessing. May the Lord abundantly bless you, your family and your channel!!!
I Listened to a couple diagramming videos before I found this one. Yours was thorough and easy to follow. Thanks so much! I'm going to subscribe to your channel as a resource for my son's homeschooling.
thank you so much. This is actually like the most helpful video ive ever watched. I have a test on this next week but did not understand it at all but now i do. I hope you are having an amazing life because you deserve it.t
Bro ik this is like years old but i hope where ever you are rn, you’re living the best life possible. I legit i understand everything so well now thank you sm u dont know how much this vid meant to me🙏🙏
I have different opinion abaut the conjunction. Eat...x....drink and breath So " x " related between the verb Eat and Drink in the digraming because of only one Comjunction in that sentece
Oh dear! The Reed-Kellogg system is a dead one. It is only very rarely taught nowadays in the US and it was NEVER taught in Europe. It is unable to cope with complex constructions such as extraposition, clefts and dislocation, or even clauses that contain a prenucleus element, such as found in fused relatives. It also fails to show the constituent structure of a clause, and nor does it assign part of speech and function labels. On the whole, a useless system. Better to stick with conventional tree diagrams.
The day I found about sentence diagramming was when my 3rd grade teacher told me to give the sicky note to one of the fifth grade teacher so I gave it to him and when I entered in the classroom I was so confused and exited to learn about this when I go to fifth grade so when I asked my 3rd grade teacher to teach me how to sentence diagramming she didn't. Really know what that means . But my sister did so she taught me so when I went to fifth grade which I was in now I already did knew how to do so when he taught harder stuff like when I went to lesson 16 of sentence diagramming it was very easy for me .
Every sentence here is simple and my teacher straight gave me the most complicated sentence to go off of this that he doesnt even explain because its so complicated
I had never heard the word "the" described as a "determiner". I had always heard they were called "articles". And I'd love it if you could tell me where that final period goes within a set of quotation marks.
I agree about talking quickly, but I'm a Brit and it's fine by me. Thanks for the great video about this. I was struggling with sentence structure and it's going to help a lot. I'm off to do some examples to get it in my brain. Grammar is very hard for me, I'm not sure why, it just refuses to go in my long term memory for some unknown reason.
You are awesome! You saved my grade! I will recommend you to my teachers and friends. I liked, subscribed, and turned on notifications! Thank you so much!!
Oh Teacher, there are things that I don't want to learn. The last one I had made me cry, So I don't want to learn to love you and think that you’re mine! 🔥❤️
Thank you, Sir!! I’m attempting to help my granddaughter with diagramming. We both get stumped. You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you for your help!
