This is one of the GREATEST defensive 3rd period performances I have EVER seen. Tampa Bay did not get their FIRST shot on goal in the period until 8 mins in. That is insane.

Landeskog sacrificing his skate blade to defend his goal was amazing, that possibly saved his team from the game being tied. And it’s funny how typical Tampa took the opportunity to say “tOo maNy meN oN tHe iCe” as he was helplessly crawling off the ice.

Tampa was the biggest bunch of whiny d-bags I can remember in the NHL. Beating two of the worst teams to ever reach a final without having to play a true road game in either series gave them a sense of entitlement and a distorted idea that they were one of league’s all-time greatest teams. They were and still are very good, but nothing we haven’t seen before.

The Avs did have too many men on the ice, but because of Landy skate was missing a blade he wasn't involved in the play. If Landy did try to play the puck that could of been a penalty. Watching him crawl and watching the lineman by the Avs bench he knew something was wrong. The refs can decide if too many men on the ice was justified in this case. Also with Mack trying to help him to the bench the Lightning had a few seconds of an advantage. I laughed when the icing waved off, just because they have done that all series. Finally the refs wised up and saw the Lightning players were being lazy because they wanted another face-off.

I was so convinced Tampa was going to win, even after being down 3-1. They were unstoppable. No one could outlast them. Destiny laid its path for them. A player getting off the ice must be within 5 feet of the bench OR the player must be out of the play and not intentionally handle or touch the puck with their stick or body before leaving. If the pick accidentally touches them, it doesn’t count as a penalty. Just looked it up, it’s in the rules. Using our resources we all have access to. Facts don’t care about feelings.
