Thanks to your mention of the dogs I too now sit here teary eyed! I loved the part about the 3 Graces and their head pieces! Since I will never represent beauty or elegance I hope I can represent mirth! How precious to have friends like that!
In December 2019 I got to hear Andy and Scott perform this live in Richmond, VA as a part of the “opening” portion of Andrew Peterson’s renowned tour “Behold the Lamb of God.” It was so powerful to hear the whole song, having followed these guys for years. Thanks for creating and sharing this story here, CBS Sunday Morning. These are very special guys...with a very special friendship. We’d all be blessed to have at least one of those. By the way, Andy is an AMAZING songwriter and he often does duets with his wife Jill who has an amazing voice and who is standing by him in the video above. Gabe is a super talented and multi-instrument musician as well.

They need to wear masks and social distance and wear gloves if high five especially if they have medical issues. Why were they in the same room for this interview they should have been separated on Zoom now they both have covid thanks CBS
Oh please. How ridiculous. I'm sure they got tested before and I'm sure for the camera shot of their tradition they didn't wear mask, but usually they do.
I hardly ever watch a Steve Hartman segment without being teary-eyed. Thanks for the humanism!
Steve Hartman always provides us with a little piece of heaven on earth💕
How can he and mastering his emotions, great! He masters them and is showing them at the same time.
Darn it, CBS. First you show the story about the dogs, now this? I've run out of tears! Thank you for making my Sundays worthwhile.
my feelings EXACTLY!! Glad I am not alone!!
Sunday Morning is the best thing about Sunday morning. 🌄 👍 (and the coffee) 😊
@@markmh835 oh, yes. Coffe and CBS Sunday Morning are the perfect pairing.

Anyone else notice the Beatles Abbey road referenece with that stillshot?
I honestly thought this would be a story about the end of high fives due to Covid, and how people bump elbows instead.
Beautiful
That was lovely. Thanks 😀
I’m not crying. I am not crying. 😭😭😭
Awesome!
That’s my cousin lol
Again. Not crying....
Friendships, where are they now?
Thanks Steve!
What is the name of the song?
This is nice but they need to do an air high five with masks.
Why are you telling two people you don't even know what to do?

What's ☝
They probably don't do it now do to covid
They actually still do it every week.
how ignurt
What exactly? The fact that they made a decision to connect in a small way that ended up being bigger than they had expected?
