- In this circuit, a two-digit counter is designed using two CD4033 ICs and infrared transmitter and receiver LEDs. When the object passes in front of the transmitter and receiver LEDs, a pulse is sent to 4033 IC and the counter is added. Two ICs are connected in cascade. Two 7-segments are used to display numbers up to two digits.

If i use 10k ohm resistor instead of 27k and 100 k in the circuit will it work?
hello،
Using a 10 kohm resistor is not a problem, but still, I recommend that you test the circuit with new resistors first if you are going to solder.
100 kohm resistance is related to IC pin pulldown and 27 k resistance is related to transistor bias and changing both to 10 kohm does not cause any problem.
I can't understand the push switch connection, can you explain pliz? 1:30
Hello, thank you for watching my video
The switch is used to reset ICs.
First, the 15 pins in two ICs are connected together, and then they are connected to a switch pin. The other pin of the switch is connected to +9VDC. Also, a 100 kilohm resistor is connected to the ground from pin 15 of one of the ICs. This is a pulldown resistor and during normal operation, it connects the reset pins of the ICs to the ground.
What if i have common anode seven segment display
hello If you used 7segment as a common anode, it is necessary to reverse the outputs of IC 4033, for this you need a NOT IC or a buffer IC. Another method is to connect the output pins of IC 4033 to the transistor and connect the collector of the transistors to the pins of 7segment. In my opinion, it is easier to use the NOT or buffer IC
I've made a circuit using your schematics but my IR seems to not working. Receiver is turned on bright and the seven segment shows improper count and is steady. Can u plz help me with this?
Hello, thank you for watching this video You should check a few things: First, check the direction of the IR LEDs, then make sure the output pulses of the transistor. Make sure the pulldown resistors of the reset pin and pin 1 are connected. Also, the seven segments must be of common cathode type.
@@xselectroniccircuits6290 Now my IR's are working since I directed them towards each other, but they are not catching signals properly. They work only when they get touched or else.
You place the two IR LEDs at a distance of 0.5 cm from each other. In this circuit, the LEDs do not need to face each other or stick together.
I suggest that you first disconnect the circuit from pin 1 of the IC and connect the collector of the transistor to the cathode of a normal LED and connect the anode of the LED to the positive voltage with a 1 kohm resistor.
In this case, when you bring an object close to the IR LEDs, the normal LED should turn on, otherwise it is off. If this part works properly, you can remove the LED and connect the IC.
I think you have a small fault in the bias circuit of the IR LEDs.
This video can also help you.

@@xselectroniccircuits6290 thankyou for the concern🌸
I'll try this way and will let u know soon.
I need help, numbers 1,4 7 are not being displayed on 2nd 7 segment display it is like 12,13,15,16,18,19,20 and so.what should I do?
Hello, thank you for watching this video It seems that the IC cannot count some of the pulses, maybe the problem can be solved by changing the IC. At the same time, check the IC reset circuit
I changed the ic but the problem is still persisting .
Hello, dear Shimolyshah
You can separate the pulse generator circuit from the ICs and manually give the pulse to the circuit, by doing this you will find out which part of the circuit is the problem.
Does the push button is a reset button?
Hello, thank you for watching this video.
Yes, the push button is reset.
would changing the input voltage affect the the circuitry? say it is a 5V source
Hello, thank you for watching this video.
This circuit also works with a voltage of 5 volts.
Hello, thank you for watching this video.
This circuit also works with a voltage of 5 volts.
Hello sir, what connection on the left of push button ? that is positive or negative connecting wire?
Hello Thank you for watching this video One end of the push button is connected to vcc and the other end is connected to pin 15 of the IC. Also, pin 15 is connected to the ground using a pull down resistor of 100 kilohms
@@xselectroniccircuits6290 I tried CD4026 but my 7 segment display always ON and my IR transmitter and Receiver are not functioning.
Hello, thank you for watching this video, you should check a few things: First, check the direction of IR LEDs, then make sure the output pulses of the transistor. Make sure the pulldown resistors of the reset pin and pin 1 are connected. Also, the seven segments must be of common cathode type.
Can we convert this into a tachometer using ICs and other displays
Hello, thank you for watching this video The tachometer can also be connected to this circuit, the output pulse of the tachometer must be connected to the input of the clock IC.
Do you have schematic diagram of it? Badly needed huhu
Hello, thank you for watching this video The circuit schematic of the first video is shown.
Hey brother i tried every things chnged ic to 4033 to 4026 then tried chnging transistor but nothing happend the display is still stuck on 1
Hello, thank you for watching this video Did you connect pin 3 of IC (display enable in) to Vcc? In my opinion, you should first disconnect the ICs from the clock circuit and clock it manually, see which part of the circuit is the problem.
Can you please share the circuit diagram?
Hello, the schematic is shown at the beginning of the video.
What is the ingredient that passes by hand?
Hello, thank you for watching this video The element that is rotated by hand is the potentiometer, which changes the frequency of the IC clock pulse and makes the binary counter count faster.
Can we use cd4511 instead 9f cd 4033ic here
Hello, thank you for watching this video IC 4511 cannot be used instead of IC 4033, 4033 is a counter that works with pulses and adds one to the counter for each pulse and then displays it in the form of seven segments. But 4511 is a binary to seven-segment converter, that is, any binary value you give to the IC will be displayed in seven-segment format and it does not have the ability to count pulses.
perfect still available?
Yes
Hello. Do you have a circuit diagram? Can I request for it.
Hello, thank you for watching this video The circuit diagram is at the beginning of the video.
ANG GALING!
Does the transistor automatically resets the count once it reaches 99?
Hello, thanks for watching this video. Yes, the counter will be reset when it reaches 99.
hello, how can i make the numbers set to start 00, when i put on the power supply, it starts with a ramdom number and I have to manually reset it to start 00.@@xselectroniccircuits6290
Hi, can i use IR proximity sensor?
IR module sensor
I need response asap please 😅
Hello, thank you for watching this video Yes, the IR proximity sensor does the same thing and can be used
Pay attention to this point that the voltage range of the output pulse of the sensor matches the voltage range of IC 4033.
When it reached 10, 20,30 and etc. the 0 will not appear and it directly proceed to 11.
i ' ve made exactly like your video but the led did not count the 0 and the 7, can you explain it for me please
Hello, thank you for watching this video, you should check a few things: First, check the direction of IR LEDs, then make sure the output pulses of the transistor. Make sure the pulldown resistors of the reset pin and pin 1 are connected. Also, the seven segments must be of common cathode type.
If CD4033 is replace by CD 4026 is the other component need to be replace... eg values of resistor and voltages
Hi, yes you can use CD4026 IC insted
Thank you very much for this superb video and all the informations! I will try to rebuild this circuit. Bo 🇨🇭
Thanks for watching this video🌷🌷
Is there report of this project
No, sorry, I don't have a report
Hi big. May I use the transmitter or tv remote control (led wight) in this réalisation projet. Thanks and I have three digits associated in one block how can I use it if it is seen possible instead of two separate digits as you did in your video.
Thank you😍😍
Yes, you can use the LED of the TV Transmitter. Also, to connect three digit, you must add a 4033 IC and connect pin 5 of the second IC to pin 1 of the third IC.
Thank you for watching my video😍😍
Hi big chief. Can I use infra red transistor receiver three pins instead of two. If you how?!
Hi Rahmano. Yes, A three pins receiver can be used for this, but the circuit of the transmitter and receiver needs to be changed. Please give me your email, I will send you the photo of the circuit.
Hi im currently going to try doing this in a schematic first then soldering it into a pcb wishing for trying it for the first time but im still gonna make it sure it works in a bread board
Hi, I recommend that you first make the circuit on the bread board and after getting the answer, design and soldering the pcb.
Good luck
@@xselectroniccircuits6290i cant get my 7 segment to work btw im using 4026BE so im not sure if thats the case and i also didnt do the reset button
But i know for a fact that my IR is working because i put an led so its either the ic or my 7 segement
Nvm i got it all working ❤

Haii! What app do you use?
Hello, thank you for watching this video It is designed by powerpoint software
You can add an LED to that circuit and another display so that when it reaches twelve, the display you added can add one digit and the LED is so that it opens when it adds, please add to twelve and twelve, please.
Hello, thank you for watching this video
I don't understand exactly what you want the circuit to do, can you explain more precisely?
I need help, my corcuit was doing fine at first but now it either skips counts with 0 on it or 1. I don't know how to fix it.
Hello, thank you for watching this video
You need to check a few things: first check the IR LEDs circuit is not open and the output transistor is generating a pulse, then make sure the pulldown resistors of the reset pin and pin 1 are connected. finally if it still doesn't work, replace the ICs
Perfect👌🏻
Thank you 😍😍
