As someone that works in the sandwich industry I feel morally obligated to inform you that a Reuben is made with corned beef, not pastrami. If it’s made with pastrami, it’s technically called a Rachel
Rachel is pretty beefy
My Irish pub serves Reubens with sauerkraut and 1000 island; we have Rachels with coleslaw and French dressing instead!
A Reuben is always made with corned beef, I've never yelled corned beef at my phone so many times as when I watch this video. A Rachel is made with turkey. I know modern sandwich shops don't follow rules, but those are the rules.

I just can not wrap my head around the concept of a $20 sandwich. A sandwich at the most should be no more than $10, and that's pushing it.

Being from the UK and regularly travelling between London and Brighton, those prices seemed reasonable to me, especially for the amount of beef in those Reubens. A good Reuben in london will cost you just as much and wont have nearly as much beef!

It was driving me crazy. Without the center bread, it’s just a turkey sandwich with upgrades.
I actually had no idea! I rarely order sandwiches but when I do it’s never a club lol I thought it was like a specific set of toppings or something. I guess the extra slice of bread counts as a topping 😂

Sando is quite a common term for sandwiches in Japan, Katsu Sandos are my favorite

Was scrolling through comments to look for this before I typed it. As a person who worked in a deli for 20 years and had to make Reubens we always used corned beef when we made them and was confused to the point where I had to google it to make sure I remembered correctly. Yes indeed it is corned beef typically.
