RCF HDL6 with SUB 8004 with NXL24 a MK2 outfills

July 1st 2023 Canada Day, at Downsview Park in Toronto.
Deploying a Main PA consisting of 8 RCF SUB 8004 in semi cardioid pattern across the front, 20 RCF HDL6, 2 RCF NX910 as front fills.
for Side Fills we deployed 6 Electro Voice ETX15SP subs in cardioid configuration, and 2 RCF NXL24 A MK2 column array speakers.
This system covered a total of 28,000 people with a throw of about 350/400 feet in each direction. Less is often more. It's about system design and calibration instead of just using as many speakers as possible.

how do you set you gain knobs on hdl6 a array of 10 on each cabinet?

We set them to full on the top 8 boxes and about 80 percent on the bottom boxes so we don't kill the crowd in the first few rows

@@v-productions-really shouldn’t do any gain shading when deploying line array. Control volume consistency utilizing splay angles, height, and if you need to shade, do only high frequency shading on bottom boxes.
Changing gain shading breaks phase coherency within the array as a whole.
