This looks pretty cool. I just spent $400 on an eye exam, new prescription and frames. They tried to sell me progressive lenses which were around $800 with exam and frames, which I could probably use, but couldn't afford so I went with standard lenses. All that bieng said, the optometrist I go to is a great place with great equipment and staff. I may have to look into this product a bit more though. Great review, thanks!
So checking with your eye doctor once a year is a hassle but you would rather spend money on this thing plus you still need to buy a pair of glasses anyway the right way plus can this spot cataracts or cholesterol spot or any kind of eye desease
You still have to visit the eye doctor. The eye doctor does more than just give you a prescription to get glasses. They check for other eye diseases too. You can't do that at home.
It might be worth confirming with the company, but my guess is that you could just hit the COMPLETE button on the scope for the blind for each test. It'll give you a reading in the end, but you'll know that's not relevant, but I would think it would work fine for the other eye.
Good question! In short, yes the EyeGlass Numbers can be used to order a pair of bifocal lenses, but you need to know what your NV ADD+* number is. If you are over the age of 40, both the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker and VisionCheck apps will provide this number for you based on the age. By using that NV ADD+ value along with your EyeGlass Numbers you can order a pair of bifocal lenses. I think you can see mine in the video at the bottom of the glasses numbers (+1). For trifocals, I'm not sure.
I cant believe you need an education to use pre built machines that give you numbers and sell glasses that match the numbers. Like im sure they know alot about eyes, but it seems like the testing of the eyes and selling of corresponding glasses is something anyone can do. And actually it is, there were prescription eyeglass dealers long before an education was required, the modern world can be silly sometimes.

Do you know if you can use the kit for 2 people?
I am blind in one eye, so this wouldn't work for my good eye, would it?

Does this work for bifocals and trifocals?
