    My husband and made your dog ramp…directions were so easy to follow! Now have to train dog to use it! 😊

      That’s great, partner! It took our little old dog several months to start using it on his own, but now he uses it all the time. If not at first, I’m sure the pup will eventually come around.

    Thank you Mr. Greg! I was just coming home from a walk with our dog when I noticed how stiffly he was walking up the stairs. 🥺
    This dog saw me and my husband through our twenties - he was such an energetic 75lb menace when I met him, that my first birthday present for my husband when we were dating was to get his dog fixed! Lol. I was like “if this gets serious I’m going to have to put up with this dog for at least 10 years, so let’s get this dealt with now.”
    Well obviously it did get serious, and that dog stole my heart, and now I’m like “10 years just isn’t enough. Let’s get that dog immortality research moving people!” As we enter our thirties and our lives are starting to wind up, his is starting to wind down. How is that fair? It make my heart physically ache.
    Anyway. We want to do everything we can to give him a great quality of life as an older boy. This will help us keep his joints safe and spry getting on and off the bed… especially because his energy is ‘aging’ MUCH slower than his joints! Lol. Thank you for this valuable tutorial, from our family!

    I like this video. One idea about the video is it would have been helpful for me to visualize the process if the video started with a picture of the end product. I'm very spatially oriented and mechanically inclined but I wasn't sure where this was going. It was like this is the top, the side, bla, bla, bla but I had no vision of where you were going. It made sense to me in the end but like I said I would have got it the first time if I knew where you were headed. All that said - I do love the video and I think it's a good design.

    im probably gonna make my ramp a lil bit longer and drop it lower on the support "tower" adding a lip/step to the final landing. got an old man with long legs so gotta keep the angle low while still getting him up. dont want him to jump, so boxes wouldn't work. i dunno what do yall think?

    How much weight can it hold? My dog is almost 40lbs. Doesn't look thick enough and the ramp part is steep for an elderly dog having issues with her hind legs being weak. But great for a dog 15lbs or lighter probably?

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 года назад

      Howdy, partner! It’s pretty sturdy but I can’t really give it a concrete weight rating. The ramp can be less steep if made longer. If in doubt, I’d probably recommend a pre-fab dog ramp with a certified weight rating. Good luck!

    Is there any way we wouldn't need a nail gun for this and use nails and a hammer? Or it makes life wayyy easier with it

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 года назад +1

      Howdy partner! You could definitely build this with a hammer and nails or a drill and screws. You’re right, the nail gun just makes life easier. Best of luck!
