- 안녕하세요 Jin's DIY 진입니다.
이번에는 예전부터 만들어 보고 싶었던 바다캔들을 만들었습니다.
바다 캔들은 장식을 많이 하지 않아도 참 예쁜것 같아요.
캔들을 사용하지 않고 그냥 장식용으로 둬도 참 좋을 것 같습니다.
재료 구매를 위해 오래간만에 방산시장에 다녀왔습니다.
방산시장은 갈때 마다 캔들 샵들이 마구마구 생겨나는것 같아요.
용기 모양을 보고 싶어서 온라인 구매를 안하고 방문했는데요
예쁜 용기도 많고 가게들도 많아서 이리저리 정신없이 헤매고 다녔습니다.^^
구매 목록
젤왁스 - 젤캔들샵 1kg 9000원
캔들용기 - 캔들나라 작은것 1500원, 큰것 2000원x 2개
장식물 - 젤캔들샵
미니불가사리4p 1300원
미니물고기6p 1400원
해마 4p 1200원
자연모래 200g 1200원x 2봉지 구매
흰색스톤 250g 1200원
흑산호(중) 4p 3600원
드라이플라워-캔들아이 3000원
조개세트 - 남대문 대도지물 2500원
(방산시장에서는 3000원에 본것 같습니다.)
심지와 심지탭 염료와 향료는 가지고 있는 것을 사용했습니다.
향료 - 젤캔들샵 - 젤겸용 GA10 블랙체리
고체염료 - 마젠타, 로얄블루, 울트라마린그린, 펌킨
Gel wax 1kg (I used about half.)
Black coral
Plastic fish ornament
shells
Preserved Flower
sand - 200g X2, White gravel - 250g
Candle Dye - Magenta, Royal Blue, Ultra Marine Green, Pumpkin color
fragrance oil - GA10 Black Cherry
(Only fragrance oil for gel wax should be used.)
Uncoated cotton Candle wick
wick tabs

왁스는 절반 정도 남았습니다.
모래는 1개 반을 사용했습니다.

* Ornaments are placed far away from the wick. It is recommended not to burn the bottom of a
candle with an ornament. *
심지는 항상 짧게 (5mm 정도) 사용하셔야 합니다.
심지와 장식물은 충분한 간격을 두셔야 합니다.
장식물이 있는 곳까지 태우지 말아야 합니다.
장식물을 최소한으로 넣는게 좋습니다.

Do you think it is okay to put fragrant/scent on this kind of wax? As I am planning to start a small business and a lot of people would prefer for a scented one over non-scent candles. Thanks!
Yes, you can. Just make sure that it's an oil fragrance. And you'll want to be careful because if you add too much, it'll become murky.

Really awesome! I'll have to make some of these for my family. On the first layer you place inside, the clear layer that is, you could wait until it's halfway dry and then place the fishies in so that they look as if they're swimming around.

To the top of the candle were those bubbles? It made the candle look even prettier!

I have the same question. I have read many sites that says to be very careful doing this. It is super pretty though.

Hi Jin, I'm making miniature dioramas out of wine bottles and I'm using the gel wax as water and ocean for some of them. I'm making one that will have a small clear pond and I want the water to look clear with very little bubbles, how can I get the wax to be clear without too many bubbles?

what will happen after all the wax go away? will it burn the accessories?
