Hey bro, You mentioned how RUclips's optimization makes it hard to download videos directly via the console. But what about the countless RUclips video downloaders available online? How do these downloaders manage to access the videos despite these restrictions?
I would guess that instead of creating their own implementations, they are probably using some of those existing open source libraries (like youtube-dl) as the main engine for their platform. So it's more about how people behind youtube-dl are able to manage these restrictions and not really the online downloaders.
How do some sites completely disable developer tools? I was on a site that uses JavaScript to reveal a video, which means I can't disable JavaScript. However, when I open developer tools, it redirects me to Google.
they block the event listerner for context menu. its commonly used by electron apps like vscode. but not recommended on regular websites running on actual browsers
