I'm very interested in seeing more footage as the season gets closer. What I got back from the Lowrance Tech was the clarity comes from the better stitching from the multiple sonars and faster processor. All contribute to a better image. Keep in touch!
I have an older HDS-8 Insight. How do I find out if this is compatible with the new Active Target system. Second question is will this work as a transom mount? Thanks.
Hi! Everything I see shows ActiveTarget is compatible with Lowrance HDS LIVE, HDS Carbon and Elite FS fish finder/chartplotters. You can always double check with Lowrance. As for mounts there are many different mounting options just remember you need a clear line of site. If your boat is in the way it will cause issues.
I just got AT2, but several videos say there isn't much difference. I can't confirm that with my limited experience.
