Ted danson is a fucking dream In this! Much loved actor in loads of amazing shows like cheers, his guest appearance on frasier, two men and a baby etc He’s a joy to watch in this!
@@Mercurystars4202 @lunistars You seem to be the kind of person who is happy when someone else pays the dinner check. As long as it's a free meal, right?!
Remember the episode of the Honeymooners when Ralph and Alice went out to dinner with an old boyfriend of hers and his wife? He was fronting as a bigshot and Ralph thought that he was and wanted to falsely impress him that he was one too. When the check arrived, Ralph told Alice that he'd offer to pay the check when it arrived thinking that their host being a successful bigshot wouldn't allow him to pay the bill, but when Ralph offered, the 'Bigshot' said "okay Ralph" to Ralph's embarrassment and great surprise 🤣🤣🤣! The inviter ALWAYS pays the bill PLUS gratuity.
Sometimes someone picking up the bill or treating people to something can be viewed as a charity case by the recipient. Conversely, being able to pick up the bill can be viewed as a badge of honor or a form of boasting to the one doing it. I have actually seen people fight about this, usually people who have money. But most of them don't. It's kind of weird.
You cannot give this episode the genius it deserves. The acting is so natural, rosie and Larry are a match made in improvisational heaven, how he ties it all together in editing. My favorite episode
My favorite parts: Larry picking not politely accepting some dessert as the hill he's going to die on, Ted Danson being petty enough to bring up Rosie O'Donnell kicking his ass, and "Why are you fighting women?" Lmao
1:39 I love that the waiter nervously removes the pie to deescalate the situation, but by getting involved he only gets Larry and Ted more heated lolol
That pie scenes is one of my favorites, that poor waiter. “I’m just going to get this out of your way.” “Put the fucking pie down.” “Get this fucking pie out of my face.”
When she says “that’s absurdly rude” and she has that look on her face that is some great acting. Also I love the couple behind Larry and his date that are cracking up.
George was Larry: "I can't live knowing that Ted Danson makes that much more than me" Now Larry can react on his obsession with Ted Danson and say everything to his face;)
Rosie's improv is so genius. With just a couple lines she tells you everything about her character & how she might end up tussling on the floor with Larry in an upscale restaurant. First one: "What's he, Judge Judy?". No way is Rosie allowing an appeal to some independent (or biased) arbiter. SHE'S GONNA FIGHT HER OWN FIGHT, thank you very much. Second: 'You going around telling everybody you kicked my ass?' 'What about it'. Lol Rosie ain't denying, defending or apologizing. BRING IT. LARRY. I"LL MEET YOU IN THE PARKING LOT. They have such great comedic chemistry together, & Rosie is funny as h*ll.
" Why are u fighting with women ? " " she started it " .. If anyone else said that I'd call the Police but when Larry David says it I think, yeah that makes sense. Genius 😃
Larry David is a genius. He thinks of all this shit in is head and then he gives his thoughts on what people would say in these situations and then he pays others to relive the vision from his mind. Incredible.😂
I love how every time Ted Danson shows up they're best of friends, and within seconds they're at each other's throats lmao

Best line in the entire clip

IKR that was fkn funny!

Meet me in the parking lot.
When women are chasing you in their wheelchairs, you run up the stairs! Brilliant, Larry!
best advice that I hope I'll never have to use.
sigma level move
Ted Danson reacting to the wheelchair is the most L.A. thing ever
Probably my second favorite scene with him behind the Larry David/Ted danson sandwhich trade dispute.
The best is Larry pointing it out to Ted!
I agree, it IS the inviter who picks up.
But if someone grabs the check first and insists on it then let them and appreciate the gesture !
@@kiddisley5890 And if the inviters insists in return, you let go, and don't create the fight. The inviter has the last word :-P

Not a huge Rose O'Donnell fan but I love her on this show.
She's really funny. In the words of Rosie, "Deal with it."

An argument about who can be more gracious and humbling to another’s family and friends. Genius comedy.
Larry running from Rosie O’Donnell is hilarious
Rosie O’Donnell is a brilliant actor ❤️
She is a good actress not sure about her politics

Larry is right 80% of the time 🤣
