It was intentional, to make him miss or foul him at least. But not to end McCaw's career. Players do that, a little nudge here and there. That's part of the game. But the bad part was he was already up in the air. That's a big no no.
Obviously not intentional, you can see this by watching the film, and if you know Vince and his current position in his career you know he's not that kind of person.. Yea he loses his cool sometimes but he'll never try get someone injured, he had Bruce Bowen do that to himself back in the day ..

I know it wasn’t a hard push, but it was the reason why he fell that way. If carter didn’t touch him, it would’ve been a perfectly normal dunk, and mcCaw would’ve landed normally being able to hold onto the rim

ESPN Sources: Golden State guard Patrick McCaw experienced numbness upon landing, but has since regained sensation in leg. A chest X-ray came back clear. He is awaiting results of CT Scan and will also undergo an MRI.
