When I first heard this song (at season 1), I fell in love with the show... A long way has bee done since season 1, and I still have the same passion (or even stronger) for Glee... "you're the one that i want"...
Thank you! I started watching at a very tough time in my life when I was convinced that I was destined not to have any friends. But Glee taught me that I still have a chance, and behold, I'm in choir, theater, student government, and have a pretty small but solid group of friends now. Being that the high school Glee saved my life, that's why I prefer the new characters. But also, since I'll be in college soon, I do want to be able to relate to a college storyline. That's why I like both! ^_^

But so far, no one has a shot at being accepted by the audience because people are so insistent on hating them for looking like the original cast. Glee was meant to be a rotating show, where they graduate characters and introduce characters. It wasn't meant to be about the original 12 for 7 years, except for Rachel.
I know! And not only that, but it's also the fact that this song means so much to all gleeks plot wise. It was the first time that the glee club actually sounded good and came together as a group.
I, for one, think that bringing newbies in IS the spirit of Glee. They always strive to find new talent, to bring in new personalities (even though the newbies all look like carbon copies of someone else, they still have their own personality and backstory), and to make the show realistic. In real life, I cry when my seniors graduate, I might hate the new freshmen at first; but at the end of the year, we're all family, and the Glee cast is one big family. :) They all deserve to be there.
I love this version! And I like how the first half is the ones who got the role of Sandy and Danny in the school play, while the second half is a nod to them having done the song (as unreleased) a couple of times in season 1 with Finn and Rachel singing lead.
Me too! Im not sure why i started crying,but i just burst into tears. I dont know if ti was because of finchel,or because it reminded me of season 1 alot but,i was seriously shaken. Or maybe im just crazy :O
