Keanu will be a good player for a LOOOOOONG time
Honestly can’t believe we were actually able to end up stealing him where we did. Depot (specifically Alex) called it the whole time too
@@kingkrow420 yessir he did
I love how Keeanu is always on his feet.
Imagine a professional off-season where he puts on 10-15 lbs of muscle and an entire pre-season with first team reps!?!?
Right!!! My goodness this kid can be a all pro type of player down the road
Future all-pro
i’m taking tj dip and rip over anything any day but i have high hopes for benton
Also i love this move because the offensive lineman doesn’t have much space in between him and benton. Proper hand placement for the opposing linemen is difficult.
a full offseason with him will be SCARY
As a Wisconsin fan, y'all got another good one. He does need more moves, but with his motor and work ethic, it will come.
Yeah hes good he will get bigger and stronger no doubt
love benton
I did not know you chart all the defensive snaps. No wonder you put together such excellent informative videos. Pro football reference says Benton had 484 total season snaps. It is a lot more than I thought and seems like a good way to get him NFL game experience.
Thanks Brian! Yup, chart each game and put them in a spreadsheet. Where each played lined up, who blitzed, who was targeted, etc.
Another great video. Thanks for the breakdown of Keanu's play and impact. Many of these plays go unnoticed because they do not led to turnovers or sacks. But players are working out there and that is what you want to see.
Thanks for watching!
The Steelers need another run stuffer in the 24 draft. Cam is 35.
Benton is very encouraging. Steelers need to pay attention to the trenches in the draft, DT , OT, and Center plus ILB. Get good players on rookie contracts. Use whatever salary cap money they can create to acquire a vet QB like Wilson or even Tannehill.
I know he was the first guy you posted for the 2023 draft that he was a perfect future Steeler. You definitely called it he’s going to be a stud for years to come.
Hopefully the first guy you get to watch for the 2024 draft is Georgia center Sedrick van Pran . He would be great to have as our next franchise center
Thanks. It'd be nice for us to go back to back. Good to hear from you man. Hope all is well.
Hope this guy can take an even bigger jump this offseason in his practice and training and become one of the truly greats at the position.
He really looks like he could develop into an amazing player. Would be nice to see since Lowdermilk and Leal dont look too great right now.
Hoping for a LouderMilk jump.. Better be this year coming because Steelers may be dipping into another DT in draft.
@@jamy8575 I believe they need to get someone on that d-line immediately. Cam may or may not be back, and may or may not be the old Cam, so you have Benton and a rarely healthy Ogunjobi as the main d-line.
Alex, if we drafted another D lineman this upcoming draft, What do you think is the priority? DT or DE? Will Keanu stay as a DT or could he be more productive as a DE?
DE. Benton can play up and down but primarily a NT.
Alex, is Keanu Benton a true nose tackle or would he be better rotating with Cam and Larry-O, eventually becoming Cam's successor? And how was he against the run this year? I know the massive Casey Hampton/Vince Wilfork NT has gone out of style in recent years, but it was very effective at shutting down the run. I'd love to see the Steelers target an immovable object like Texas' T'Vondre Sweat in the draft.
He's versatile. He can play up and down the line. But primarily a NT
@@natetewkesbury I'm simply referring to where the Steelers intended on playing Benton. Which is NT.
His club would be like getting hit with a 2x4. Even for a 300 lb lineman
its so funny how you have to clarify that sacks matter too every single time you mention pressures or winning reps because mfs will start crying about myles garrett and pff if you don't
Benton better pan out- there were so many other options in the DT category
