The whole bakugou = Usui thing actually does make sense. like Bakugou only behaves so aggressive because of his quirk (if he's not 24/7 stressed or sth like that he could literally pass out coz of the nitroglycerin in his body) and now that his quirk is gone he can finally relax and calm down which could also lead to him being more "gentle/soft" Anyways good job i really like this AU 👍🏼
Also like with Toga's quirk making her naturally crave blood like a bodily function, all the nitro-glycerine and the explosive nature of his quirk could have had an effect on is temperament so when his quirk got erased he also simmered down, he still had anger issues because years of emotional conditioning doesn't just wash away but he found that becoming angry wasn't as quick of a response anymore and wasn't the first thing he felt at any given situation so his anger management skills along with the help of his therapy helped him keep a cooler head in lots of situations even if he still gets angry a lot more than the average person

The nitroglucerin in his body could kill him if it didn't flow at the same speed, the negative emotions enable him to flow it faster and survive, let's add the amount of trauma and events affecting his life, he was just trying to become a hero and he was taken captive by a villain, He was semi-humiliated by AU at a sports festival, kidnapped and his mother said that he was guilty because he was weak, let's add that he blames himself for what happened to All Might, and most people who do not know him live with the belief that he is aggressive and dangerous, even though he never in UA even hit anyone, if it was not required as an exercise, let's not forget how much he has changed since junior high.
