- Hello here is a new series called WHAT WE WEAR. It’ s a series I've been working on for weeks now and I'm proud to present you this first episode about Fashion trends that Parisians won’t wear.
Crocs, men nails polish💅, men in skirts and heels, no bra trend, UGGs and bunch more!!
The aim of this series is to share with you different opinions from people in Paris and other cities around the world from micro-trots about what they like in Fashion, what they dislike, what they fear, what they admire, technology in Fashion, what we wear in winter season, what we wear in paris….
I would be so happy if this new series can inspire you in your daily life and give you more confidence about what you are wearing.

Hello, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄This is a new series I have been working on since the past weeks, called "What We Wear". The purpose of this is to share with you different opinions about fashion from people in Paris.
For this first episode, the topic is "What fashion trends Parisians won't wear?". Hope this will help you to find your own style & make you learn something from other's personal experiences.

The older gentleman is the one who I find most interesting. Never to rule out something. Everything has the possibilities to be styled correctly or worn for fun. That’s the attitude I like in fashion. Other than cheap fast fashion, I think everything should be explored in order to find something that brings you joy. Never fear attempting to style or wear something you wish to. He was also so chic. Very New England late turn of the century boat captain Parisian chic. He should model. He’s absolutely beautiful. I love when we see more mature models both men and women. They are able to wear styles and look very polished for some reason, perhaps the grey hair just looks gorgeous with so many outfits and in photography.

Love everything you said, but stigmatized people who buy cheap fast fashion is wrong and classist most of us can’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a single piece. Hell, buying a 40€ pair of Zara jeans is a treat for me and it’s a piece of clothing that will last at least 5 years in my wardrobe. We have to be aware that not everybody has the economic possibilities
@@valeriavelasco8454 I agree. You can buy and wear it, and no one really has to know depending on how it's worn and what is worn with, how you style it etc. Clean and fitting your body well should be what matters most, not the cost or where it was purchased from.
You read so many American travel bloggers that tell you what NOT to wear when visiting Paris, and honestly I think they're all bullsh$t. This video proves it. Wear what you like, that fits well on your body and with your personality and forget everyone and everything else! Thank you for this video.
In Paris,you can wear what you want,nobody will look at you in a bizar way,every body is free to wear anything.And it is such a good thing
You honestly believe all these people are telling the truth? Lol they just don’t want to get canceled. Notice how they’re all dressed in a very stylish way? You wouldn’t catch any of those people in crocs or anything unappealing /not elegant.

I would never wear low rise jeans again
I like the style but am not built for it - remembering why I never could find jeans as a teen in the early 00s 😵

Low rise jeans are really flattering. More so than high rise. The problem is companies make the hip to tight. Also, I should I add am very curvy and not rectangular shaped or thin at all, and think they’re sexy. Low rise jeans look great

I am almost 60 and I love the fact that your interviewees were so laid back and liberal. If everyone expressed themselves in a non conformist way with no judgement of others and embraced our differences what a beautiful world we would have x

I really found the older gentleman very endearing and intriguing. I also liked the lady in the green fur.
The older gentleman is my fashion hero, why put yourself in a box when there are so many possibilities with style! A very positive man!
Edit: I’ve come to the conclusion Parisian people are far less “problematic” then Americans.

I am impressed. Everyone was open with their opinion but also so open minded, not judging. I think your question in the beginning was great for that because you asked specifically what they themselves can’t wear

I love Parisians!! When I saw the title I thought there would be a lot of uptight people who are fast to judge what's trendy and what's not, but no! I admire the guy who says he would wear anything. I think good fashion takes courage to fantasize, self-acceptance and curiosity to others' ways of self-expression, what do you think? I saw several videos like this about New Yorkers and Londoners, and they all listed absolutely different items they would not wear, so it became obvious that's it's all very very individual and there are no general fashion laws that we all have to follow

Hi! I love your job! Could be interesting to interview also less "young / social engaged - artistic people" (bref, the other side of Paris) in order to see how they feel about those issues ( no bra, genderless fashion et maybe fashion in general). I live in Paris too and I think that the real magic is the fact that it is a city where you can see the struggle between different social classes
I'm with the ones who don't like crocs and leopard print but that's me, everyone is entitled to use what makes them happy😊.
I adore this video so much. I want to visit France one day and show everyone my style and speak fluently to be able to communicate and hold valid conversations with people. You did amazing in showing every possibility and I applaud you for being a wonderful human.

Leopard isn’t classic. It’s a repeated trend, and it’s so over done now it’s just over. For most of the 20th century leopard fabric was regarded as vulgar; that’s not a classic.
@@elizabethclaiborne6461 wrong. i could say mini skirts were considered “vulgar” yet Chanel capitalized off of them in the 90’s. Leopard has ALWAYS been used in high fashion from roberto cavalli to valentino etc. From the early 90’s it’s always been recurring. In luxurious furs, dresses, and coats. Now, we see it in Spring/Summer & Autumn/Winter collections all year ‘round from the world’s top designers.
I love the fact this video is a good way to break the popular idea that Parisians only wear classics, neutral colors and all the bullshit some bloggers used to spread on the internet.
Most important lesson: wear what you like, what makes you feel good. 💘

I hated undershirts and bras when I was a little girl. but I had to wear them in high school because it was "appropriate"? then in college I stopped wearing bras and I still don't wear them. I live in Costa Rica, some people look, some don't give a shit. I didn't know it was a trend, I just didn't liked them, they're so freaking uncomfortable
Same . Boobs are uncomfortable as it is . People will stare regardless!
I've gone to french schools my whole life but my family is English and I speak English to everyone else because there aren't many French speakers here. This is helping me keep the language and these videos are entertaining too! Cheers from Canada!

I feel like it’s just not a Paris thing . In Chicago every one wears black or neutral colors too . It’s very pleasing in the eyes but Paris is so Beautiful it looks more fancier

I also go out in a uniqlo sweat pants and either black or white t-shirt. I love faux fur. I bought cheap $5 leopard coat in flea market.
Crocs are something I only wear indoors. I think they're one of the best indoor shoes. I don't think they're durable enough to wear outside.
I've had my fake crocs for more than 10 years and they are still going strong so they have been more durable than any other shoe I've ever owned. They did get miscoloured with time but I just spray painted them white and now they look new again😂

Can totally agree with the crocs …… I think they are not beautiful. Ugg Boots, too 😩 I prefer Birkenstock’s and hiking boots instead of them. I hike and walk a lot so I need comfy shoes which are gentle to my feet and I think they look nicer than Ugg’s and crocs

I normally go against which is too popular, I create my own look. I only wear black cheap $3 house slippers in a shopping mall/ tropical city like Manila.

Off topic, but in the Southern United States in the hot summers, men wore cream colored or white suits with a Panama hat.
Women wore very little fashion with dark colors just because of the heat and humidity. You don’t see so much dressing in colors for the weather.
The best invention for the 100 degree Fahrenheit days here is jeans with rips in them. That extra breeze is heavenly.
