That animal collective reference blew my mind, I knew it sounded familiar, I fucking love this dude.
I like that song that he has called Harm In Change. That's a dope song. First time that I heard that song was from driving around in GTA 5.
Big fan of Toro Y Moi. Been a fan for the last 11 years of this group. What like most about what they do is that they continue to grow and evolve their sound everytime out for this group and I love that. Toro Y Moi doesn't rest on staying to a particular sound or current wave or trend. I use to be an all hip-hop guy about 13 years ago, but these bands like Toro Y Moi totally changed my outlook on music. Most of hip-hop is very repetitive, and while I will always have a love for hip-hop it tends to mainly cater to the young demographic only and about 80% of hip-hop sounds all the same. Toro Y Moi can be hit and miss because they do experiment a lot with their sound but they aren't afraid to do so and I appreciate the artistry in that. I have their new album already and bands like Toro Y Moi and Washed Out have led the new wave of alternative sound and their are other alternative bands as well that I have not mentioned. Stuff like this is what I mainly listen to these days. Also alternative doesn't mean in 2019 what it meant like say in 1999.

@@Christian-zj3ul Chaz normally makes his music with a conglomerate of people for most of his music. He usually performs or is in studio with his band or whoever Chaz works with for a particular song a lot of the time. Empty Nesters was performed with his band.

the whole album he dropped indie easter eggs. ariel pink , isaac brock i float away. to the animal collective homage, to the james murphy line , to ugly casanova. basically he shouted out so many people hes fans of.
