Thanks for not playing blues or classic rock! It makes it easier to decide how it will work for me when someone plays my style... Having said that, I'm actually looking at this for bass. Whack a blend or crossover on this and you've got a killer bass OD.
Couldn’t agree more on not playing blues/classic rock. Listened to so many overdrive pedals on RUclips but they seem to me to be hard to gauge if I could ever use an overdrive beyond my amps O/D as the demo’s feature (mostly) highly-skilled blues/rock guitarists. The search is over for me because this is the first demo where I can hear detail as the loop repeats and we see the simple, three knob overdrive changing the sound. Clever marketing, no talking and no fret-wanking. Off out to try one tomorrow.
I ordered a King of Tone 1500 years ago and waited and waited- by the time i got the notice that it was my turn ,my pedal collection had grown and i was happy with much of it, i had every intention of just flipping the KoT. Well i was so blown away by that pedal i kept it- turned into my favorite by the end of the week. When i got this pedal a few years later.... well let's just say i love it just as much as my KoT, two indispensible pedals and this is an "always on" (my KoT isn't always on)
Just got one - HOLY COW 😳 Awesome pedal! Video demos don’t even come close to doing this pedal justice. It’s surprising to me this can match my Archer/Klon tone but also makes my Deluxe sound just like my Two Rock (set to either clean or dirty). Just can’t believe how this pedal has gone under my radar for so long. Have compared against my Klon Klones & no comparison - the Barbershop has so much more tonal quality & dynamic range it’s amazing. Can even sound like my 59’ Tweed Bassman Reissue when speakers are crying ... such a cool pedal.
My all time favorite boost pedal and much more. I use mine for bass and guitar, which it works equally well with no low end loss on bass. This pedal does not sound like other boost pedals, it is one of a kind and ultra dynamic. Honestly, this demo does not demonstrate the pedals magical capabilities. Thank you Mr. Fairfield, your a genius!

It's certainly one of the most surprisingly versatile pedals I've owned. It really enhances the sound of my other effects too.
Have this version and love what is does tonewise to my amp. Although when engagement occurs so does a loud POP!

I can imagine this would work best after your favorite overdrive, since it has a flat response - it won't affect how your overdrive pushes - other than boosting the signal and adding some sag as desired

I’ve started to collect the big box versions. I have about 4 now. I’m gonna get one more but I’m looking for a low serial number 0-200.

Is the new millennium the same as the barbershop? What are the changes. Also if I have a tube screamer and a Jan Ray/ Timmy where would this pedal sit in the chain?
Hey Aaron,
The New Millennium is the same as the original Barbershop, with few tweaks resulting from years of selling it and getting comments from people. It is improved and more compact, without loss in qualitÉ.

Miguel Reyes It's normal on the SAG and VOLUME of the original model. It's normal on the SAG of the new Barbershop Millenium.
