- The United States has formally accused Iran of supplying short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, which were used in the Ukraine war. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that new sanctions on Iran, including measures targeting Iran Air, will be announced soon. This appears to indicate that Iran has missiles to spare. Also, Russia and Iran may be trading weapons systems. Russia provides Iran with very sophisticated weapons to use against Israel and the US, while Iran provides more basic missiles to use against Ukraine.
