I was really starting to lean away from soundtraxx and start working with loksound, but the customer service and new tsunami 2 decoders have really impressed me. I still will consider loksound but I will also consider soundtraxx when selecting decoders. I broke one of my older soundtraxx boards (at1000??) and sent it in for repair. They sent me a new at1000 as well as a tsu-pnp decoder! I couldn't be happier with their service and upgrades with tsunami 2 decoders.
great info man as i have switched from n scale 6 months ago due to vision probs and getting ready to order decoders for my ho stuff cant wait to see next video thanks ......geno
Nice video, Mr. Organization!! Love the notebook! All kidding aside, great video, Deryk. I'll be watching the install video with interest. Take care buddy!!
Thanks Stan, yeah it's DCC ready with a 9 pin socket. I'm going to replace the whole board. Sorry about the confusion . 16 hours of overtime will do that. LOL ~Deryk
Derek, nice video, but you only showed us the boring part. What does it sound like and how easy are they too install? That's what I want to know. I know you just gave us a teaser so we'd watch your next video. Cheers, Kevin
There's going to be a time, when I'll be able to get one of these.... I can't wait! Thanks for that!! I appreciate the gobbly goop!! :*P I cannot wait to see how DDS works. I'm sure it will be similar to TCS's "Auto-Notching" which I found VERY cool. :D
They have the same poor short 90 day warranty? Some forget that that is not very good. Ever buy a car part with such a warranty,Not so good .Most reputable company's at least give a year or more for anything.Hope Soundtraxx hears this and reconsiders if they have not changed it from the past. Thanks for sharing. Iwould consider paying the price ,but not so with the short warranty. Model railroading is a long term hobby and so should the warranty on high end items
good reveiw. cant wait to see it in action.
Thanks! Hopefully soon. Haven't had much time lately, This month is ridiculous at work.
~Deryk
+DG Modelworks i know how that goes with work. it definitely eats into the model time, but gitta work to make money for the hobbys
Very true! Need that money...hahaha
all my Engines have Tsunami 2 decoders and they are the best out there.

Yes I agree! Great customer service. I ended up having a problem with this decoder. They sent me a replacement.
Thanks for sharing Deryk! Very informative. I'm looking at trying out a few of these Soundtraxx 2 decoders after I heard the GE sound file.
Awesome video and very informative. Can't wait to see the step by step install video in part 2
Great video!.Always used Tsunamis but I´m switching to Loksounds FT for my new engines. We´ll see how it works.
I still prefer Loksound, esp. since I have the programmer now. but wanted to check these out.

Deryk excellent intro to the decoder and over view of the Manuel.
Its about time they updated their decoders. Can't wait to see how it works and sounds.Scott
It would be interesting to see a direct comparison between this decoder and the new LokSound V4.0 decoder and get your thoughts on both.
Tim
That is a great idea. Im definitely going to reprogram my Loksound decoders to Full Throttle.
Maybe you could put a new V4.0 decoder in your other Athearn GP40-2. You could use your new LokProgrammer to program the Full Throttle feature.
Only problem is, My other one is factory Tsunami. Which is why I decide to put the Tsunami 2 in this one.
Nice video, Mr. Organization!! Love the notebook! All kidding aside, great video, Deryk. I'll be watching the install video with interest. Take care buddy!!
