Renee's done a great job in her first film. She's done this from scratch, starting with a short film. It shows how she's been taught to start from the basics in her acting career and to continue building on that success.
It would be nice to see more of her films in the future.
I know she is adopted but her voice , body language and even face reminds me of Susmita Sen

It wd be grt to see the morher and daughter bonding and making a career in the process for the mother and the mother understanding the good side of insta and the net. Reene's first attempt is grt. For people hating the concept: This movie won’t make sense if either the parent or the child wouldn’t be smoking. Smoking is objectifying the act of letting out vulnerability and while both the parent and the kid is committing the act, neither of them can point fingers at each other and rule this out as a HAW HAW taboo. In short... this was symbolizing the end of the infamous “Generation Gap”.
But smoking is smoking. Many people will find it a justification.

There are many ways of showing common vulnerabilities.. This advertises smoking as mode of stress relief.. The girl is clearly an addict? What's next in substance consumption ? Where does the line stop?

This story is about the hypocrisy of some people( parents or not) who loves to point out fingers on others but forget to include themselves for the same reason . it's easy to find mistakes of others but difficult to accept own faults.
More than anything , it's the strength of the story that shoulders this short movie. The natural and effortless acting of the three protagonists is the cream but let me me be clear - Kanishk devgan - the story teller ...the writer of this movie is the clear pillar.
