Finally! An actually useful and informative review! You gave info on turning, feel, and real world use beyond 15min ride. Out of 20 or more review, yours is maybe the second with useful info about riding the bike. Thank you!
thank you glad to hear you found it useful :) Since this ride i've also ridden a Honda Africa Twin - if you're looking at the F800GS I suggest giving the Africa Twin a go also!
WeNeedASaga Yes, the Africa Twin is on my list. I just heard about new model/options for 2018, which makes me want to wait for it this Summer. I look forward to seeing your informative Africa Twin review! And maybe a comparison with the F800GS? Please!
Nice video thanks! Was wondering if you have plans to review the F800R. I’ve heard complaints about the vibration at highway speeds and I’d like to hear your perspective and how it compares to the MT-09 and the Street Triple since you have experience on both.
Hi Joe, i owned a F800R & i heard the same things about vibration on the highway. I did not find that with my F800R, very smooth bike to ride. They are fantastic to ride.
Hi there. Great VDO, thanks for posting. Did you ride the bike in duo, fully loaded? If so, is it comfortable for the passenger ? Is it easy to handle, when fully loaded ? Did you go off road in duo ? I plan to drive in Asia, ion very bad roads, with my wife, and I wonder if this bike can handle that.
Good review. A couple of things to mention. You can adjust the suspension while riding , I do on mine all the time. A Madstad screen is awesome on this bike, get one if you buy it. And finally tank size is 4.2 gallons On the US version. Happy riding!
Great thanks. I'm just about to buy one and I'm not far off your height. It was the screen issue you mentioned but seems most riders opt to buy the taller one.

Kim Ringer thanks for the details Kim - I'll pin it so others will see it. Cheers!
I should have took this road whilst I lived in oz .now back in the UK.
How’s this do on the highway 80-90mph?
I made an effort to find the answer to this question, but what year is that F800GS? (thank you)
it's around 2015 to 2017
you should take my Africa Twin for a ride to see how it compares
I''d love to dude!
let me know when you're free and we can tee it up
this is an adventure version, the GSA. Standard GS doesnt have adjustable suspension or 16liter fuel tank.
bryan kestle Actually I have this bike, these are the GS numbers/features not the GSA.
I have the adjustable suspension on my GS
It is not the GSA.
Hi, good Video. How tall are you by the way?
Thanks mate - I'm 6'7" and the bike is comfy for a guy my size.

Yep, there's always a way around it, us tall guys just have to work a little harder for it ;) Good luck!
16 Liters converts to 4.22 US Gals.
