    Thank you so much for this lovely video, I'm doing this in my class (Eu) and we got these equations for homework series, but I couldnt find anything on youtube about it until I find this, I love the way you are solving it by the way

    A good way to avoid the confusion caused by modifying the domain in the manner you did would be to more explicitly treat it like you would a definite integral that you're going to use U-substitution to solve. i.e. Let theta=2*x + pi/3, then (instead of finding the new bounds of integration) find the domain of theta by plugging in the end values of the domain for x. pi/3

      Most likely 16-17 years of age, as he teaches at a comprehensive high school. In Australia, this content is typically taught in early Year 11.

    I’m confused why 2pi became 7pi when he added pi/3.

    • @tg509
      @tg509 4 года назад +5

      If you factorise out the pi, then it's a question of adding 2 and 1/3. You do this by putting both numbers over a common denominator, which is 3. [2 = 6/3 ]
      2 + 1/3 = 6/3 + 1/3 = 7/3
