It was so much fun testing these SWEET 3D printed parts for the SprintJet and I would definitely recommend them for the best performance especially if you have converted yours to brushless😁

Yes it would have been fine with the upgraded stator but no water cooling if I had installed the fins.
I will try it when I take it out next👌

Great review mate. Well done on the before test, then swapping parts at the lake to directly compare in the same conditions. You Covered the basics of installation and the little tricks so we don't get caught out!
You should get a box full from Dave and sell these in Australia, i was going to order from his site a few months ago, but the postage was way overpriced from memory.

And yes I was the same when I checked the postage prices a year or so ago, it was like 6 x the cost of the parts to us in Australia, it should be cheaper now but I'm not sure.
@@rccrazy i just looked, nearly 50usd for one ride plate to Australia. You should be the Australian distributor for them, i will take 3 of them.
Funny you mention that, i just bought 2 of the jetjam copies, flytec v009, on eBay and Banggood.
I haven't tried them yet but will be going brushless for sure.

@@rccrazy now best cheap option is udi arrow brushless and feilum fto11. All one says arrow is more quality not leak nothing. Real 50kmh and fast turns. I love arrow. Also I own small udi 001. And is great quality a lot parts for changue and funny. I give u one idea for your next boat and your nice channel!!!! 👍🏻. Big hug. Now I’m in Spain.

I just bought this boat today haven't even put it in the water yet and holy s*** I have to go brushless and get those upgrades definitely a huge Improvement looks great

I wanna buy one and do these mods. I think it would be a lot of fun in a creek after a nice rain to run some white water!
Not sure if all the power is necessary for white watering but it would sure be fun😆
If you do decide on getting the 3D printed parts just try and avoid hard surfaces like rocks, could break if it's gets a hard hit or a awkward hit.

Nice but, did you get more run time with bigger battery and how did it handle with that battery?
You would definitely get longer run time with more mah yes.
But I ended up buying some CNHL MiniStar 550mah 3s lipos, much faster but they last much longer because you don't need to use as much throttle a lot of the time.
I even tried 4s, the jet couldn't actually push that amount of water and just cavitated 😆
I have been meaning to bring it out again, I got another jet boat to upgrade😁
How many minutes does the boat last full charged
For me personally not very long😅
With a 450mah 3s I get about 7-8mins using quite a lot of throttle the whole time, I'm used to only about 4mins maximum with my fast planes so I don't mind just taking multiple lipos.
But it really depends on how you drive and where, on calm water you could make it last quite a while but if your hitting rapids you will definitely use lots of throttle so run time will be shorter.
I havent been able to find the ride plate or anything from sundogz the links just leads to nothing any help please

Hey mate I’ve just gone brushless and I was wondering what you use around the watch to help keep it water tight?
If you mean the foam stuff then it's the kids craft foam you get from random Dollar shops and craft stores.
Cheap and nasty but it works ok😅

No not stock, highly modified and brushless.
Will this work for a jet jam?
No these are specific to the SprintJet but Dave has finished a ride plate for the JetJam to stop the bouncing.

Hey man how did you get a reciver in there or there on builinto esc? And which remote did you use?
I'm using a DumboRC radio system.
Just plugged everything in, put the receiver in a balloon and push it to the nose of the boat.
You will probably need to remove the motor to get the receiver in.
@@rccrazy Thanks so much And one other thing did you remove the lead weights atttached next to the battery or leave them for stability?
Removed the weights, you may not have to though.
I am actually running the esc on the battery side and the lipo were the esc should be, I got a huge water cooled esc, very heavy and is perfectly balanced without the weights.
@@rccrazy Thanks man just ordered all the parts you used I decided on the beta fob battery for my case. Does the esc you used come with an xt30 on it or did you solder one on?

My esc came with bare wires if i remember correctly, I soldered the xt30 on myself.
Probably not the best to Reccomend people get the upgrades before you have even tested it. Just my thoughts.
You do realise thumbnails and titles are normally produced after testing, just though you should know😅

These parts have been tested well before I got them and these boats have a well know porpoising/bouncing issue which a ride plate with almost always eliminate.
I may seem thick but I do know a thing or two about physics and geometry.

@@rccrazy hahaha hell yeah brother. I’m new to jet boats built a tear into jet last summer. Along with a couple little ones just rebuilding my sprint jet now to try out a outrunner setup for some small creek playing
