Do not compare your life to the highlight reels you may see on RUclips, Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. Know that what is shared is that there is not the complete reality of those people's lives and focus instead on your own happiness and blessings. Have a Beautiful and Blessed day and week. See you next video. Stay safe and healthy. God Bless.

Discovering your content over the past few weeks has been lifechanging for me. I'm a caregiver for multiple family members on top of working full-time and I was getting so burned out and overwhelmed. Your insights--particularly about my bee/cricket organizing style--are helping me not just organize my space, but also organize and manage my time, which makes me feel so much better. Thank you and I hope Hot Mess House comes back with more seasons because it's the best show HGTV has produced in years :-)

It helps when all of your family members are on the tidy bandwagon and puts things back or away. I've tried so many organization projects around my house and they ends up as a dump all bins or containers. Even if I go in and reorganize in a short time they slowly end up filled with everything. I decided to keep my areas tidy to keep my sanity.

I'm from Australia, we have huge homes compared to UK and Europe, and even I agree with you. It's crazy what North Americans consider "small spaces". Perhaps they need to declutter. 1400sft = a "small home"??! The laundry - in a home with space and storage everywhere - considered "small"... the big kitchen (even for Australia)... multibathrooms.... all bedrooms with built in wardrobes 😂?! Ive done the conversion to metric (sqm) and that's bigger than my parent's home (they're wealthy/loads of space for two.... and WAY bigger than average family home here). I appreciate the Clutterbug categories, but I'd LOVE to see some Clutterbug makeovers in an inner City European family apartment OR an English Cottage.

I'm dying - the chihuahuas! My friend had them growing up. Go in her house, they jump on the arm of the chair when you walk in and try to bite you. We get in the car, I'm in the back seat. My friend says "Oh, Peanut is going to come with us. He's a little weird in the car...What? Worse than in the house?" He jumps in the back with me...I freeze. I think I stopped breathing. He jumps back in front with her and lays down...she says, "Wow, he must like you. He didn't try to bite you." Are you kidding me ??! I feel your pain Cass. Tip to survive unscathed for month with those pups: don't breathe too loudly in bed.

Nearly driving me nuts! I also see that you use Norwex cloths, mops, etc. One of my daughters sells Norwex products and I think most of them are great! Some don't really work for me, but for the most part I find them useful. I haven't been around to watch you for some time and notice that you've lost part of your former self. I was surprised at this too, especially when she said it was only 1400 sq/ft, maybe she made an error there. I think it would be easier to be organized too, if I had a mudroom, laundry room and office, and her kitchen is huge compared to mine and others. All my rooms have to be multi-functional and that eats up organization space per category.

Edit: I was eyeballing. They're even smaller. It's a split level with many teeeeeeny rooms. Don't be fooled by the wide angle lens needed to see the whole room. It really is a small house.

My laundry room is a walkway to my downstairs bathroom and it is a luxury as usually our washing machines are in the kitchen! So agree! I'm from the UK, and my home is half the size of Cass's. Tiny kitchen in which I have my washing machine. Tumble dryer is in a cupboard! No laundry room, no utility, no basement, no pantry, no garage. With all respect to these lovely ladies like Cass, Dawn and Dana, etc; I think WE could show them a thing or two about decluttering and organising!

    • @ArtyAntics
      @ArtyAntics Год назад

@@supergran1000 absolutely could! I’m quite organised tbh, it is just tight. My main issue with UK homes is that they have odd walls. We have a chimney in our 70s house which means the sofa only fits in one place and no room in the master bedroom for a wardrobe. Windows only have about 20 cm of wall either side so built in cabinets in any room would block the windows. Total nightmare for storage options.

I love that you noted how you converted a closet into a pantry -- I struggle most with figuring out better uses for my space and it's so tough to think outside the box of what an area of the home was originally made for. Fellow Canadian here. You have a wonderful organized home. What an inspiration! I've watched many of your videos and I always learn something, or get some ideas. I can't resist to tease you a bit though: why do you always say that you're not "very" organized ? That's not true !! 😉😉As YOU say, there are many organizing styles. If in many areas you have chosen to "macro" organize, it is a resounding success. And anyway, some parts of your home look awfully "Pinteresty". Your office in particular is a beauty ! The closets in the bedrooms are not only functional, they are pretty. The bathroom supplies: a beauty... it's BEE perfect !!

Beautiful! I didn't expect how small your house is. It makes me feel like I can do more in my 1200 sq ft townhouse
(edit- a lot of people think this is pretty big! i guess we're just spoiled for space in australia)

you guys make me laugh, I cnt believe u guys think that is small, to me its Huge! lol. I think everything is just much smaller in the UK by comparison.
In the UK we have bedrooms nicknamed ''the box room'' - usually the 3rd and final room to the family house, above the stairs, >6ft x >6ft.... Cosy :)

@@BLK2000 that sounds like New York city living in the US. That's a true challenge with small space living. I've lived in large and very small homes over the years. One thing I've learned is that if you have more space you fill it up. If you have less space you get rid of things, and learn to live with less. In most situations you find a way to organize it to make it livable for your family. Most often one room will wear many different hats. It just depends on what the current need is. Making it to my 50's I realize I could live in one room if I ever needed to. Definitely not something I would want to do, but life has taught me that I could. I always feel blessed no matter where I find myself.

That's funny, I was just thinking how huge her house is! I guess your perspective changes depending on where you come from. My 2 bed house is about 700sqf ( in the UK) and it's definitely a challenge trying to find storage solutions for everything when just basic furniture takes up so much room.

I was thinking that’s not small at all, we have a 1000 sq ft home family of five. Our one and only bathroom is just big enough for shower/bath toilet and sink 😂 we keep the clutter low though so it stays clean!

I love your house! It looks bigger than 1400 sq ft! Was the downstairs family room/spare room originally a basement? Is it also included in the square footage? I love how some houses look bigger than their actual footage, and some look smaller than actual footage. It's fascinating how the layout can change the feel/space of the house! Thanks for the inspiration!

I do not know what type of bug I am, but I want a home where everything is inside a closet or inside a cubboard, or inside a dresser. I want to be able to remove the dust by just one motion over a flat empty surface. I do not want anything on any surface, I want everything hidden away, dust free.
I am allergic to dust, and I have to have carpet because we are … lively … and we live in a condo.
I was recently hospitalised with RSV and the dry vacuum and the wet vacuum feel just sooooo heavy, and the carpet cleaning service canceled on us because they got COVID.
So when I see your beautiful home organisation one word screams inside my head: DUST what do you do about the dust accummulating on top and inside all of those organisers. On top of the venezian blinds, curtains.
    Happy new year.

I don't like wiping dust too!😆 despise picking everything up. AND the dust somehow gets behind the cabinet doors too🙄I thought the dust abundance was because our rental apartment was old and the walls and were "shedding" particles of wallpaper and paint or something. But we moved into a newly built house and it's almost the same here. A visible layer of dust accumulates on the shelves in like several days. I decided to not care anymore, if I stress too much over some stupid dust, I will have a nervous breakdown for sure 🤣
