I mean if someone invaded my homeland murdered everyone then turned the whole nation into ghouls and ghosts and the only thing that gave me hope was a damn bottle of water I'd be pretty depressed too lol. not even mention the banshee taunting me and every waking moment.
@@jacintkeszthelyi5121 he basically got like two lines and was just an npc that gave the party like one thing and didnt have any relavance to the story at all. even though his lore should have put him in the middle of the whole thing.

@@berkgulec5819 he can. Aatrox has destroyed a star constelation in his fight against Pantheon. He even destroyed the concept of War itself. He literally 1 taps Mord and erases his being from history. Zoe does the exact same thing, she can also snipe his ass by teleporting very far away from Runeterra somewhere in space and throw stars and black holes at him.
The things I love about Yorick's story are the facts that he is one of the few inhabitants of the Shadow Isles that isn't completely morphed or corrupted by the Black Mist and still has memories of when it was the Blessed Isles. While he is fighting to keep it at bay and eventually put an end to it, he is constantly tempted, tormented, and mocked by it in the form of the Maiden. It's an interesting take on what could easily have been just a stereotypical necromancer character.
Yes, it does. This is confusing though for one reason. Yorick actually wants to die, he's been through worse than hell and he's always tormented by souls yelling at him to remove his amulet containing the only thing keeping the mist from getting him the Tears of Life. What makes this confusing, though, is that Kindred are two things for a reason, if the person dead accepts their death then Lamb will end it for them quickly. If they don't want to go yet, though Wolf will chase them and force them into the Realm of Death. This doesn't make sense because Yorick would most likely accept his death and go with Lamb.
@@jsc1jake512 i think it is because he is resisting death hence the wolf. Even though he wants to die, he still have a job to do. He is trying to get rid of the black mist and the only reason he is alive is the vial of holy water necklace. He suppose to die a long time ago. It doesnt matter if he wants death, he is resisting it atm. If i recall his lore correctly. Havnt read his lore in a long time.

One of the most interesting characters and one of the few baddases in lore. In game a crazy oldman with shovel and ghouls as his goons, and He destroy towers faster than You blink. This.Is.Why.You.Get.Level.7.Mastery.Yorick!
I've got Level 7 Yorick, and I 100% agree with this, Yorick can be a little complicated to learn at first but once you get the hang of him you can't stop playing.
I don't know why, but something about the exchange at 2:03 just got to me! Yorick's response is so simple and honest. He doesn't try to deny the maiden's statement or give some grand speech about bravery and perseverance, he simply maintains that "there is some" hope left. Not much, but some.

The story of Yorick Morri is a sad one indeed. To never yield just so that he may persevere for his goal. Truly no champion in the game has as strong of a character
"I see the wolf" For those who see the lamb, they had a peaceful life and will get a peaceful death For those who see the wolf, their death is necesary like the're out of control. I like how no one can oppose kindred.
Who they see doesnt have anything to do how they die. Its their attitude towards death that counts. If their soul accepts death/embraces it, they see lamb. If they try to run away from it/fear it/try to circumvent it, they see wolf. So in the case of suicide it depends, but most likely it would be lamb, when they are at peace with their decision.
Not exactly. Seeing Lamb or Wolf isn’t due to your life, it’s because of how you face death. A saint who lived a peaceful life could see Wolf is they try to resist, and the worst murderer in the world would see Lamb if they accept their death.

Aatrox is a PTSD soldier gone suicidal that unfortunately believes the best answer is to take all with him if it means to end. Yorick suffers from severe depression, self-victimizing over his curse, to be slaved to his newfound cause by locking him away from death.

I rly enjoy how u've incorporated those two spirits in the TTL with the mist maiden when they where talking to yorik, it add more to the all thing in a way I didn't imagine
This champion honestly gives all the satisfaction what you would expect from champion: The design is great, his voice lines are great and the lore *chef's kiss* Perfect. I feel bad for the fact he is so unappreciated in the community.
I feel like if yoricks manages to complete his task and dies after said completion, he would gladly accept death allowing him to meet the lamb, however, if he were to die beforehand, it'd be the wolf
@@HandsomeGamerGuy Yes it would but since he's been such a big plot hole in lore ever since Yorick's rework (which came out in 2016 or 2017) I'm thinking they want to give it something special. Also there have been theories that the Maiden of The Mist or Yorick's ult, is the Ruined King's wife, I don't really know what to make of that though.
@@jsc1jake512 It would be the most fitting theory. Since the King used Magic to bind her Soul, which as you said got enhanced by something beneath the Monks Abbey? So that would make sense.
@@HandsomeGamerGuy Yeah, underneath where the King performed the ritual was a vault where the Monks kept the most dangerous magical artifacts. Before the Mordekaiser rework, Morde's skull was also in that vault, it might still be canon because of Sahn-Uzal, but I doubt it because Mordekaiser's mortal life as Sahn-Uzal was a life of war and conquest, it doesn't mention anything about him using magic.

Lets pay out respect to dear forgotten yorick the hero the lore of league deserved for the sentinels of light event. I shall be eternally salty about that. Tell you what they should have done they could have had senna and Lucien corner Viego after finally breaking through the army's of the black mist only to find out that Viego is in a completely different level of power and there was no way for the sentinels to stop the ruined king. It would be at this moment where Maokai and Yorick would join the fight effectively taking the lead now that the sentinels have cleared a path through the blackmist directly to viego. Yorick seals Viego away possibly with a last minute interference from Kalista preventing Viego from making a comeback. Yorick gets to have his final rest, Maokai works on restoring the blessed isle and Thresh becomes the unbound (minus the ghost abs). And NOW the sentinels of light can shine because while the source was stopped thresh is still on the run. The same fiend that tormented Lucien and Senna for so long. So you can make a second sentinels of light event that's about stopping the black mist for good, now under threshes control. And while tresh is still powerful he does not compare to Viego so Lucien and Senna have a realistic chance of stopping him and hey maybe this is where we can add Akshan and everyone else we were supose to care about. I have made this string of events up in 20 minutes and while you can discuss the details its absolutely a step up to FREAKING akshan replacing Yorick and showing him aside. Unbelievable.

What ruination? I don't remember a ruination event. If a event like that were to happen I wouldn't miss it. After all that event will 100% conclude the story of Yorick and it's not something you could forget or shove aside. Let's all keep waiting and let Riot cook. I don't play Aatrox anymore though, I agree that he's a good champion even right now, but I can't get the hang of him ever since they removed the revive.

I just finished the ruination novel and as a Yorick fan I have to say I’m content. He got a nice small and sweet part. It was a pivotal moment that almost stopped the ruination before it had a chance to begin. But we all know how it all ends. Alas Poor Yorick... Also I heard about the leak for spirit blossom Yorick and I really hope the skin does him justice. I really wish my boy got more credit.

It's interesting that Yorick wants to die but he refuses to do so as long as the blessed waters allows him because he doesn't want to become part of the mist. Rather he communicates and controls the mist walkers somewhat as a means to stop the curse on the isles, through his own personal curse of being able to speak with the dead. Then once the Isles have been cleansed he will finally get to rest. He is 1000 years old and has been living surrounded by the mist for around 975 of those depending on how old he was when Viego (and the ruination) came. TL;DR - Once Yorick bonks Viego hard enough in the head he'll lay down his shovel and go to sleep.

Who they see doesnt have anything to do how they die. Its their attitude towards death that counts. If their soul accepts death/embraces it, they see lamb. If they try to run away from it/fear it/try to circumvent it, they see wolf. So in the case of suicide it depends, but most likely it would be lamb, when they are at peace with their decision.

Also there have been theories that the Maiden of The Mist or Yorick's ult, is the Ruined King's wife, I don't really know what to make of that though.

Before the Mordekaiser rework, Morde's skull was also in that vault, it might still be canon because of Sahn-Uzal, but I doubt it because Mordekaiser's mortal life as Sahn-Uzal was a life of war and conquest, it doesn't mention anything about him using magic.

Lets pay out respect to dear forgotten yorick the hero the lore of league deserved for the sentinels of light event. I shall be eternally salty about that. Tell you what they should have done they could have had senna and Lucien corner Viego after finally breaking through the army's of the black mist only to find out that Viego is in a completely different level of power and there was no way for the sentinels to stop the ruined king.
It would be at this moment where Maokai and Yorick would join the fight effectively taking the lead now that the sentinels have cleared a path through the blackmist directly to viego. Yorick seals Viego away possibly with a last minute interference from Kalista preventing Viego from making a comeback. Yorick gets to have his final rest, Maokai works on restoring the blessed isle and Thresh becomes the unbound (minus the ghost abs).
And NOW the sentinels of light can shine because while the source was stopped thresh is still on the run. The same fiend that tormented Lucien and Senna for so long. So you can make a second sentinels of light event that's about stopping the black mist for good, now under threshes control. And while tresh is still powerful he does not compare to Viego so Lucien and Senna have a realistic chance of stopping him and hey maybe this is where we can add Akshan and everyone else we were supose to care about.
I have made this string of events up in 20 minutes and while you can discuss the details its absolutely a step up to FREAKING akshan replacing Yorick and showing him aside. Unbelievable.

I don't play Aatrox anymore though, I agree that he's a good champion even right now, but I can't get the hang of him ever since they removed the revive.

You've grown, and realized that Yorick is just every male that have become very knowledgeable.
That one dislike is the Maiden of the Mist!
It's interesting that Yorick wants to die but he refuses to do so as long as the blessed waters allows him because he doesn't want to become part of the mist. Rather he communicates and controls the mist walkers somewhat as a means to stop the curse on the isles, through his own personal curse of being able to speak with the dead. Then once the Isles have been cleansed he will finally get to rest. He is 1000 years old and has been living surrounded by the mist for around 975 of those depending on how old he was when Viego (and the ruination) came.
TL;DR - Once Yorick bonks Viego hard enough in the head he'll lay down his shovel and go to sleep.
